BaByliss Root Boost = AMAZE ♥

I decided to treat myself around the Christmas period and buy the BaByliss Root Boost crimpers and I thought I'd write a quick review on how I found it!

After several years of constantly colouring, bleaching, straightening and curling my hair, I have noticed that now it's quite flat and limp and I normally have to backcomb my roots a lot just to give a bit of life to my hair.

Over the years, I've built up a bit of a collection of hair straighteners, curlers, wands, heated rollers and Velcro rollers and none of them have compared to my root boost crimpers. Even the smallest amount of crimps in my hair, I still find that it gives my hair volume.

They have 3 temperature settings for different hair types--140°C, 170°C and 200°C. The crimper blinks the temperature you have it set to until it's warmed up.

A few pics after I've sectioned my hair and crimped.

I didn't have time to do my hair fully but these are pictures of me putting a few crimps on the top layers of my head. It doesn't really show how much of a difference it made to my hair but I honestly love the crimpers and couldn't live without them now!

The only bad thing I can say is you have to be careful how close you crimp to the top layer of your hair as sometimes you can see a few showing through!

I brought mine for £20.00 from Debenhams but they were in the sale. You can buy them from most places that sell electronics like Argos, Boots, Superdrug and Amazon.

I hope this helps anybody contemplating buying them!

Maybelline FIT Me Foundation, Concealer & Powder Review ♥

Recently a lot of people have been complimenting me on my makeup and how great it looks so I wanted to make a little review about my new Maybelline FIT me set.

While shopping with my friend recently, we decided to pop into Superdrug and I ended up buying up all 3 items thanks to a lovely 3 for 2 offer. The foundation was £7.99 and both concealer and powder was £5.99 which I didn't think was too bad.

Foundation shade 135

 Concealer shade 15

 Pressed power Shade 125

The thing I liked most about getting these items was that it was SO easy to actually find my shade. In my earlier teenage years, I've been known for having no clue on makeup what so ever and always buying foundation far too dark for my skin.

In my local store they had a sort of "process of elimination" chart next to the products. To first pick light, medium or dark, then to pick either pink or yellow undertones.
After I did this, it gave me three possible foundation fits for my shade. I eventually picked out number 135 for my foundation (the darkest out of my three), concealer as 15 and my
powder as 125.

This is me with all 3 products on and just a little mascara and eyeliner.

Since the whole BB cream came out and went really big in UK, I honestly haven't used my foundations and been opting for my BB nearly everyd day but after using the Maybelline FIT me range I may have to rethink!

I really liked the foundation as I thought it fit my skin tone perfect. The concealer did the job and hide my blemishes and spots. The powder I wasn't so impressed with. I found that as a girl who suffers with oily skin, it didn't last long and I had to keep reapplying when I was out.

All in all, I did enjoy the range and I would recommend buying it!
Now I need to buy the blusher ;)

Full makeup on.
Sorry for bad quality, took on my iPhone!

Perfect for Summer: Maybelline Popsicle Lipstick Review!

I recently brought 4 of these lipsticks and I love them so much that I don't leave the house without one in my handbag!
I brought them in shades Crystal Pink, Citrus Slice, Cherry Pop, Pink Sugar. As they were quite new when I first brought them, these were the only ones left in stock!

They give my lips a nice shine and a very sheer tint of colour. Although the colour isn't very bright, I found the lipsticks to be a little like lip stains as the colour lasted a while after moisture had gone.

Each lipstick also has a gorgeous fruity scent which isn't too sickly like some other lipsticks. The Cherry Pop one is my favourite as the Cherry scent is very yummy!

The packaging of the lipsticks are very bright and colourful, perfect for summer!

(L-R) 040 Crystal Pink, 060 Citrus Slice, 080 Cherry Pop, 010 Pink Sugar.

As they're transparent they didn't show up much on a swatch test so I didn't bother uploading the picture.
I really liked these lipsticks as they were perfect for out and about in the day but I wouldn't rate much for going out on the night. I didn't like that the moisture wasn't long lasting which meant I had to keep re-applying.

All in all though, I do like them and I would recommend you girls to buy at least one as they are a nice little lipstick.

I hope this helped you guys!

yay for first post! ♥

Welcome to my blog :)

My name is Natalie Ann, I'm 22 years young and I currently work as a Data Entry Clerk in a GP's surgery.

After following several beauty & fashion blogs for a few years, I finally decided that I wanted to join them and start my own!

As someone who is very interested in fashion, beauty products and makeup, I always like to research a little and look at other people's reviews before buying the item myself. My main aim in this blog is the hope that one day I might help somebody else in the same way other blogs have helped me :) Pass on the love and all that! ♥
