Birthday Princess Cupcakes ♥

As it was my little cousin's birthday recently, I thought I would be the best cousin ever and make some little cupcakes for her party. I do enjoy baking and everyone normally compliments me on my sponge cakes (thank you nan for the recipe!) But I've always lost it a little when it comes to icing and decorating. I always see lots of beautiful pictures of cakes people have made and envy them. Nevertheless, I decided to try again and see what I could do for my cousin.

One day when I decided to visit my local Home Bargains, I went down the kitchen aisle to see what I could find. I eventually ended up leaving with a piping kit with 5 nozzles for £1, princess cake cases with decorations for 99p, simple large pink polka dot cake cases for 75p and two carry boxes which holds 6 cupcakes for 75p, bargain!

As soon as I got home, I got all my ingredients out and started baking!

Pretty little castle decorations, perfect for little princesses!

I used pink coloured vanilla buttercream icing with pink glimmer sugar and white chocolate curls.

Not perfect looking but they tasted yummy :)
