MUA Matte Lipsticks

When it comes to MUA make-up, I really am in love. Every time I go into Superdrug, I find myself going straight to the MUA stand just to see what they've got in stock (which normally isn't much as everyone else seems to love them too!) so when I heard that they were bring out a new Matte range for only £1 each, I couldn't help but order all 5 shades of their Matte Lipsticks.

Totally Nude - I think this has to be my least favourite shade as it's a very similar to the dreaded "concealer" lips but I think it's a nice lipstick if you're looking for a very nude shade.

Peachy Keen - This is a gorgeous peachy colour with a hint of coral. This is one of my favourites for being a bright colour but also slightly nude.

Pouty Pink - This is a very bright "Barbie" pink with blue undertones which is normally not very me but I will make an effort to try and wear.

Scarlet Siren - I always find red lips very wrong on me but I really liked Scarlet Siren. Very pigmented and bright, perfect for a night out.

Wild Berry - I wasn't sure when ordering this shade but since trying, I have fallen in love with it. Perfect shade for this winter and my favourite of them all!

MUA make up never ceases to amaze me, not only for how good they are but for their prices. Although MUA states they're matte, I did find that they were also quite moisturising and didn't make my lips feel dried out. I felt like I only needed to reapply after about 3-4 hours (depending if eating/drinking etc).
Anything with a matte finish is a definite must have with me, and I'm so happy to add these lipsticks to my collection. I don't have any matte lipsticks so it was nice to get to try something different. I am also planning on ordering their new matte eyeshadow palette which is again, a steal at only £4!

You can buy your matte lipsticks from Superdrug or on MUA's own website.

OOTD - Night Out ♥

Since I went shopping the other week, I thought a Friday Night Out would be a good chance to show off my new clothes!

Mirror selfie ;)

I cannot wear these boots enough.

I wore skinny jeans I'd brought a few months ago from Primark and my new white shirt with necklace mentioned here. The jacket was a bargain I got off Ebay last year, brand new and never worn for under £10! My shoes are my gorgeous cut out panel boots from Primark, also blogged about here. My bag (not pictured) was another bargain I got from Ebay, a studded clutch purse for £2.

I kept my makeup simple with liquid eyeliner and the new MUA Matte lipstick in Wild Berry.

 Thanks! :)

ANOTHER Primark Haul! ♥

Yes yes, once again I have found myself in a Primark. I didn't lie when I said I have an addiction to that shop! This time I spent £31 which isn't too bad considering I brought an outfit plus extras!

Grey skater skirt with elasicated waist - £8.

 White sleeveless shirt - £8.

Oversized long sleeved top - £5.

Two packs of tealight candles - £1.50 & Mini diffuser £1.

  Multi ring necklace - £3.

I brought the skirt and white shirt as I hoped to wear them together for a party I have coming up but they both looked nice on together and separate. The red top was just for everyday casual wear but I needed something with long sleeves for the cold weather! I love their home range and I always seem to buy something from there every time I go. I've brought a reed diffuser from them before (which smelt gorgeous), so I decided to buy another one in a different scent. Also 30 gorgeous smelling tea light candles for £1.50 is a bargain! Lastly is the necklace. I have seen a few of these in other shops and have always thought they're abit expensive for what they are but when I saw this one in Primark for £3, I couldn't say no to it.

Empties from September ♥

It's a few days into October and since I've finished a lot of my everyday products in September, I thought I'd give my first empties blog review a go.

First off I have the Maybelline Dream Nude Airform Foundation. I brought this a few months ago but I only used it a few times as just after, the BB creams craze happened and so everything else I had at home got a little neglected. Recently I have been using it alot more, especially for work as it's light and quick to apply. I'm not sure if I would buy it again as I honestly think I prefer to wear BB creams now.
Next is my absolute favourite invention in the beauty world at the moment which is the Nivea in-shower moisturiser. I have done a separate blog about it here but I have now used it all up! Sob :( Luckily though, Superdrug had 1/3 off Nivea products so I brought the bigger 400ml bottle!

After reading a few beauty bloggers reviews for the Fat Hair Thickening Shampoo & Conditioner (Conditioner not pictured), I expected really good things from it but after using them for several days, I didn't notice any difference in my hair at all. I think for the price that they are (I got lucky with a deal for both for £7), I'm really disappointed and have been far more impressed with cheaper brands like Herbal Essences etc.

Another product I'm sad to see empty was my Pantene Pro Instant Nourishing Spray. The smell was gorgeous and I felt after a few days of using it, my hair felt softer and shiner. It was also an absolute bargain for £1 in Poundland so hopefully next time I go in, I'll be able to pick me up another bottle!

And lastly, as the cold Autumn days are here I find that I am constantly throughout the day, applying lip balm to keep my lips from drying out so it's no shock to me that I've got 2 empty lip balms in just one month. I am addicted to Vaseline and I will always carry a pot around with me but when it comes to the Maybelline Baby Lips, I'm not that impressed. When I first reviewed them, I really liked them. Cute packaging, comes in different flavours and tints, cheap price. What's not to like? Well the fact it doesn't last in the winter months is what I don't like. In the summer they would be fine but they don't have enough moisture in them to be good enough for Winter.
