Empties from May! ♥

As most girls out there will agree, when it comes to beauty products I do have a problem with impulse buying. I always buy more of something before I've even finished the one I've already got so this month I was dedicated to actually finishing a few things and clearing up some space! Now my last empties post was in September (Wow that long ago!) and even so I still don't have that much to show for it but here they are anyway.

As mentioned in a previous blog, I love Avon's Advance Technique Moroccan Argan Oil Shampoo and Conditioner. Not only do these bad boys smell divine but they also make my hair feel ridiculously soft. I'm not sure how much more of these I'll be getting as my Avon rep has quit (gutted!) so unless there's something else I really want to try, I don't think I'll be paying P&P for just shampoo and conditioner.

Another Argan Oil product I've loved this month is this intense deep conditioning hair treatment from Primark! There's nothing better than relaxing in a hot bubble bath with candles and treating yourself to a hair treatment. This was only £2/£2.50 (I'm not sure!) so it's hardly breaking the bank. The smell was gorgeous and once again left my hair feeling fab. Would definitely be picking me up another one of these next time I go.

In the beauty department, I'd recently finished these tea tree facial wipes. Although they're meant for the face, I actually ended up using them to wipe my hands after applying make up. I tend to only go with facial wipes which can take off make up as well as cleanse so they're sensitive to the skin but since these were tea tree and a little strong smelling, I didn't feel the need for them to just wash my face.

Next is my Scandaleyes Lycra Flex Mascara from Rimmel. Now I LOVE this mascara and so much so that I had to get a new one already purchased and waiting for when this ran out. It's the best mascara I've used in a long while and it's an absolute bargain for only £6.99!

Another great product I've been using from Rimmel is the Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation. I actually have this in two shades as the first one I brought was slightly too dark for me but after the swap, I have really fallen in love with it. I'm not sure if I will be buying a new tube at the moment though as I like I said above, I should really finish off some of my others but it is definitely something I will continue to buy in the future!

My little fun purchase of the month!
I am a complete sucker for most things novelty and candy flavoured hand wash is definitely one of them. It's amazing how alike they smell! I did also brought another in "Cola Bottle" scent which was stupidly gorgeous and they also have a "Strawberry Laces" scent which I am yet to try! I brought mine on offer for about 90p in Tesco but I have seen other retailers stock them as well. Who said washing your hands had to be boring?!

My Everyday Makeup! ♥

Now on a daily basis, I always tend to go for the same simple look, especially if I'm only going to work or out shopping but since I've really been loving these products and they're normally what I'm been wearing in my past few blogs, I thought I would do a little post about them. Everything used can be brought on the high street or many big supermarkets and they are all under £10! Can't really complain about that?

 These are everything I'm using:

Rimmel Scandaleyes Lycra Flexi Masacara in Black
Collection Extreme 24Hr Felt Eyeliner in Black
Baby Skin Pore Eraser Primer
Rimmel Stay Matte Foundation in True Ivory
Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder in Silky Beige
Collection Illuminating Touch Concealer in Natural
MUA Mosaic Blush in English Rose
MUA Undress Your Skin Shimmer Highlighting Powder
Avon Glimmerstick Brow Definer in Dark Brown
I was also wearing the Maybelline Baby Lips in Smoothing Cherry (not pictured above)

My MUA Collection! ♥

Now I have mentioned many times before in previous blogs that I absolutely LOVE MUA and that it's normally the first brand I go to when in need of something new. Recently I saw that a lot of other bloggers were posting pictures/blogs with their entire MUA collection online and I thought I would do the same. When I actually laid everything out onto my table, I realised I didn't have as much as what I thought I did but even still, I was impressed.

I do like to experiment a little when it comes to make-up and I think MUA is the perfect range for that as most of their products only cost £1 and buying things in different shades won't exactly break the bank. I have tried a few things from MUA in the past and I've been really disappointed but on the whole, I still love them and will always continue to buy from them.

I love their lipsticks and they're a bargain for £1 each!

Poundland & Superdrug Haul ♥

Today I had a day off work and what does a girl do? She shops!

Herbal Essences Beautiful Ends Leave-in Conditioner - I brought this a few months ago and I'm really gutted that it's starting to run out so when I saw they still had this in stock I had to get it. Sadly this was the last one they had or I would have brought a lot more!

Macadamia Oil Extract - Recently I've been loving hair treatments as there's nothing better than lush soft hair. They actually had quite a few different choices in Poundland but this one stood out to be so I thought I would give it a go for only a pound!

OZ Botanics Major Moisture Shampoo & Conditioner - I really needed some new shampoo and conditioner and I always like to try something new so I thought I would try this as the packaging looked good and the ingredient Tasmanian Blue Gum intrigued me!

Garnier Hand Cream - I'm not sure what the name of this actually is because it's another language but I know someone who uses it at my work and it's amazing. It so moisituring and it doesn't leave you with that horrible feeling on the hands from when it doesn't rub in properly.

Simple baby moisturusing wipes - I absolutely love these wipes and I will go specifically into Poundland to buy them. They take off all my makeup with just one wipe and because you know it's for babies, theres no nasty chemicals in it. Plus theres a cuty baby Tatty Teddy on the packaging! How can you say no?

Now I know that everyone has probably gotten on the Baby Lips craze, and then gotten off of it now but I still really love them and as they were only £1, I couldn't not stock up on them.

Manhatten Lotus Effect in 69R - Once again, another product I brought months ago and loved and I was lucky enough to find it again. I'm presuming the 69R part is it's colour but to describe it it's sort of dark burgandy red. I absolutely loved it in the winter months and it's still on my toes at the moment. It's definitely a colour I need to keep hold on to!

Revlon Baby Stick - This is a product I'm not sure how I'm going to use at the moment because it can be used for lips and for cheeks but I'm quite excited because it's a beautiful colour and it would be perfect for summer. There isn't a colour name on it but it's a very coral pink colour and it did also come in a range of colours if that one wasn't for you.

Cotton Buds - An absolute necessity for covering up mess ups, I've used it plenty of times just by doing the 'Cat Eye' look!

Now onto Superdrug! I was in desperate need of some dry shampoo and Batiste is always the first brand I go to. Nearly everytime I go there's a new scent and this time it was the Pixie Lott edition! It's a very sweet and floral scent and I have to say it's probably my favourite. I hope it's not a special limited edition one because I'd be gutted if I couldn't buy it again!

Rimmel Scandal Eyes Flex Mascara -  I've wrote a review about this last year and it has now started to dry out a little so since I'm still in love with it, a replacement had to be brought.

Rimmel Stay Matte Powder - I've read some good reviews about this and since I'm always on the look out for a good matte make up product, I thought I would be giving this a go for myself.

Collection Illuminating Touch Concealer - This was a little bit of an impulse buy but since I was running low on my current concealer, I thought that was a good enough reason to buy it! ;)

When I was out I did have a sneaky look around Primark and amazingly I only came out the shop with two items. One of them was this gorgeous costume necklace. It was only £3 and it comes in a clear stone or black but I thought the clear one looked prettier and would probably go with a lot more in the summer months.

Normally when it comes to Primark and lingerie, I do find that they are very hit and miss. But as I mentioned recently in my Primark haul, I have spent a lot of money in there over the past month or so and one of the things I did buy (which I also didn't mention in that haul, bad blogger!) was this memory bra. I brought it in an ivory colour and I have to say, I wore it every day for a week, and that was only because I needed to wash it. I have seen gone back and brought it in another TWO colours because I am so in love with it. It is the most comfiest bra I have ever worn and for £6 each, it's an absolute bargain. If you're heading to Primark, pick yourself one up. You will not regret it!

The TMI Tag! ♥

Recently, I started following Chloe's Way and after looking through some of her posts, there was one tag she did that caught my eye. Now I haven't done a tag post before and she obviously didn't personally tag me to do this but I thought I'd give it a go as it's fun and easy way for people to get to know me :)

1. What are you wearing?
Just a pair of jeans and a top. Nothing exciting!

2. Have you ever been in love?
Yes :)

Bank Holiday Fun at West Midlands Safari Park!! ♥

Bank Holidays are the perfect excuse to get out the house (in my case apartment) and have some fun but because I'm are so unorganised, I hadn't planned to do anything. Fortunately I don't live too far from many tourist attractions so I decided since it was a nice sunny day, to go and visit the West Midlands Safari Park

For people who haven't been, it's basically a zoo that you can drive around in your own car. Obviously excluding the lions and tigers, people are allowed to open their windows and feed the animals. Although I'm against most zoos as I think it's cruel, I do like the idea that these animals aren't caged and they do have the freedom to walk around.

To get into the park, you can pay £17.99 per adult, which includes the drive-through safari experience and then for when you're done, free admission to the Sea Lion Show and the Reptile House among other new attractions like the Twilight Cave and Meerkat Mayhem. Simples! The package also includes a free return ticket for the same number of paying passengers so double the fun!

Summertime Primark Haul! ♥

Over the past couple of weeks, I cannot tell you the amount of times I've been into Primark. From either going in for myself, other people or that I brought something I really liked so I had to go back and buy it in another colour, I've been in at least 5 times since the beginning of April. But even in the space of a month, new stock has come in that I like which means more money had to be spent! Uh oh :(

It would be a bit of a waste if I did all that shopping without showing you all of the things I brought so here they are :)

I brought this simply as a day t-shirt to wear around the house or if I'm out shopping and this  grey V neck fits perfectly for that and it's only £4.

I'm really not sure how much this was but have hardly took it off since buying. Looks great tucked into a skirt or on it's own with jeans. I'm not sure how much this was unfortunately.

Next is this cute patterned shift dress. I didn't think it was all that nice when I first saw it but when I tried it on, I fell in love with it. It looks great on it's on or with a belt around the waist. Once again I'm not sure how much this was but I'm guessing about £13.

I love the pattern and the beautiful crochet detail on the back and can easily be dressed up or down. Great value for £13.

I reallllly love this maxi dress. Although I'm not extremely tall at 5"6, I always seem to find it hard to buy a maxi dress that goes all the way down to my feet and not stop at my ankles. But then I came across this beauty and it's an absolute bargain at £13. Perfect for those days out in the summer!

As soon as I saw the print on this dress, I knew I had to buy. It's very lightweight so I thought it would be perfect for holidays as it wouldn't take up much room at all. It can also be worn on it's own or with a belt. £13

Another dress I just had to have was this gorgeous daisy chiffon collared dress. They didn't have my size so I had to go one smaller but because of the style, it still looks great. £13

A bit of a blurry picture but this is a fitted strapless daisy dress. I brought it with visions of wearing it on nice days out in the summer but due to the lovely English weather, I doubt I'm ever really going to get the chance to wear it so I think it might be an eBay job :( I think it was £13 but stupidly took the tags off before I could look.

Now onto shoes, I brought a pair of these peep toes last year and I absolutely loved them so when I saw that they had brought them back this year, I snapped them up in 3 different colours. The really are perfect day shoes as they make any outfit look great and they're extremely comfy. Primark also do them in a beautiful coral colour which I think I definitely have to go back for. £6 each!

Another pair of shoes I got are these brown sandals. Now normally I buy loads of different pairs of Primark sandals but this year I wasn't so impressed. These were the only pair that I liked but for £8, I really wish that I hadn't bothered. They're nice enough but after buying my peep toe shoes above, I really don't feel the need to wear sandals anymore.

I only brought one piece of jewellery because I really don't need anymore but I really liked the simplicity of this necklace and for £3, why not?

I did also buy some new casual jeans but since they were just this years version of jeans I brought in this blog here, I didn't bother to include.

All in all, I really liked a lot of what Primark had in store this season and I really could have brought loads more. Hopefully the weather picks up a little so I can actually start to wear the things I did buy!

Seventeen Stay Time 25 Hour Foundation in Natural Review ♥

YAY for broadband!

A few months ago, I read an article on the Daily Mail website about "Make up you can wear in your sleep" and a few of the products used did intrigue me. As someone who suffers with oily skin, I always seem to find it hard to buy a foundation that will actually last through a whole day without going patchy, so the idea of a foundation advertising to last up to 25 hours is really a big claim to make and one I was eager to see if was true or not.

On the off chance, I searched Ebay to see if anybody was selling a bottle and luckily for me somebody was and in a shade that was perfect for me! I got it for about £4 which is a bit of a save as it's currently selling for £6.49 in Boots and in a 3 for 2 offer across all their other make up ranges.

A bit of a blurry picture but trying to show the safety cap so no accidental spills!

I took this photo after about 7 hours of applying so apart from a few problem areas around on my cheeks, nose and chin, the foundation had lasted.

When applying, I did find the foundation to be quite thick and slightly oily so a bit more of powder was needed, but it still went on easily enough and only a small squirt covered the whole of my face so the whole bottle could last for weeks! After applying my concealer, powder etc I did feel really heavy and that I'd applied too much make up.

I did enjoy the product and the more I used it, the more I fell in love with it. It had lasted through a whole day and even when I was removing my makeup on the end of the day, it still didn't come off without a fight. I didn't always like the way it felt on my face as it sometimes felt too heavy but I would definitely still use it for days out or somewhere where I would need my makeup to last.
