The Fairytale Tag! ♥

I was recently looking through my bloglovin and I came across The FairyTale Tag! I was a big Disney fan when I was younger and even now when I'm having a bad day, there's nothing better than sitting down on the sofa curled up in a blanket watching a Disney Princess film so when I saw this tag, I knew I had to do it!

Snow White- Do you consider yourself beautiful?
Not really but I don't put myself down and say I'm ugly. I'd say I'm average and I'm happy with that :)

Sleeping Beauty- How many hours do you sleep for at night?
My favourite princess! ♥ And I do try and aim for around 9 hours sleep. Is that a lot? It sounds it haha

Cinderella- Do you have a curfew?
Well I don't live with my parents anymore so I should hope not ;)

Rapunzel- Do you love being outside?
When the weathers nice, yes but I'm not the sort of person you'd catch going camping.

Red Riding Hood- Do you trust strangers easily?
Not really but I'd like to know I always give everyone a chance
The Wolf and the Seven Young Kids- Are you easily fooled?
Sometimes, I hate to admit it but I am quite naive sometimes ha

Beauty and the Beast- What makes someone beautiful in your eyes?
Their personality. There's nothing uglier than someone who's ugly on the inside!

The Frog Prince- What do you find disgusting?
Feet. end of.

Jack and the Beanstalk- Do you have any plants?
I do in our living room. I have my own little greenhouse from Ikea where I grow my own little flowers :)

Puss in Boots- Do you have any pets? If not, do you want them?
I have a cat named Lacey and I would love more. Crazy Cat Lady calling!

Pinocchio- What is your biggest wish?
To be happy. Very simple but what's the point in going through life miserable?

Peter Pan- What is your mental age?
Urmm I'd say probably still about 16. I am a little mature!

The Star Money- What is your most valuable possession?
Probably my car, my little Cooper Trooper :)

Gold Mary & Pitch Mary- Are you a hard worker or a lazy one?
I'd like to say I'm a very hard worker. I finish everything I put my mind to!

The Snow Queen- Who is your best friend?
I have several ;)

The Princess and the Pea- Are you sensitive?
Unfortunately I am. I hold my hands up! I wish I wasn't but I do take a lot of things to heart.

Godfather Death- What qualities make a good parent?
urmm I'd say being very loving and understanding. My parents never pressured me but always made me feel loved and that they stood by whatever decision I ever made. I see a lot of parents nowadays just let their children do whatever they want and honestly have a "I don't care" attitude towards them. I think getting a good balance between that is very important.

The Twelve Dancing Princesses- Do you like parties?
I do but I also love snuggling up infront of the tv.
The Emperor's New Clothes- Do you care a lot about your clothing?
I do, but I wouldn't say A LOT. The average amount?

The Brave Little Toaster- Do you consider yourself brave?
Sometimes. I stand up for myself but you would never see me doing something as mad as bungee jumping etc!

Give this tag a go yourself :)

Primark & Superdrug Haul ♥

It's been a while since I last blogged and since I was recently paid, I thought a good haul post would be in order! Over the past few weeks, I'd ran out of a lot of my usual makeup so I definitely needed to get to Superdrug and stock up but not before I had a sneaky little trip to my favourite place, Primark!

I brought this cut little flower stripe vest for only £4 and I thought it would be nice just to wear in the day with maybe some shorts or jeans. The vest is also dip hem so it's slightly longer at the back. Perfect with a nice statement necklace and denim jacket!

I also brought this cute little dress for £10. I did try a few of their dresses on but a lot of them didn't look/fit right but as I soon as I saw this dress, I knew it was for me! It's elasticated around the waist so it's really comfortable to wear in the hot weather. It has a very slight frilly sleeves and it comes to just above my knees so it can be worn with or without leggings.

I also picked up two T-shirt bras while I was there. I normally have bad experiences with Primark and bras and I constantly have to buy the bra size up from me but I was really impressed with the two that I picked up this time. The cream one was in the sale for £2 which was a nice little bargain. The gorgeous lace black bra was £5 and both of them are so comfortable! Well done Primark!

primark pants

I love Primark's little boy shorts! It's very embarrassing to admit but I probably own way too many of these pants. I love all the cute and quirky little patterns on them and for £1.70, they're really good value for money. Now I do admit some in the past have been bad but recently Primark have really stepped up their game and these boy shorts seem to be a lot better made.

Beauty wise, I picked up these wipes and an egg makeup sponge. I love these deep cleansing face wipes as they're cheap and cheerful for 2 packs for £1! I've brought some nearly every time I go in and I would honestly recommend them to anybody! Now the egg makeup sponge is something I've never tried before and was a product that was actually recommended to me. I know it's only £1 and it won't be as good as some of the more expensive brands but I thought it was a good place to start and I wouldn't exactly be wasting much money!

As I said above, I did try on a lot of things from Primark but I really wasn't loving any. Everything seems to look odd or just didn't suit me so in the end I only walked away with a handful of things. In my local store, they had already started putting out a few of their Autumn/Winter stock and a small part of me was actually looking forward to it :(

Next was Superdrug! Like I said above, I was in desperate need of a lot of things so I knew it would be a good haul when I finally did go. Firstly I ran out of my foundation so the first place I went to was the makeup counters.

I've really enjoyed using Rimmel products recently so I stayed with them and brought another Stay Matte pressed powder. I hate wearing a full face of makeup in the hot weather and I do normally opt for BB creams and since it was 2 products for £10 on all the Rimmel range, I picked up their 9-in-1 BB cream! I did also visit Superdrug's new Makeup Revolution counter and I picked up their "The Matte Effect" Foundation in Natural for £2 and their Focus & Fix Eyebrow Kit for £2.50. I was desperate for an eyebrow pencil and when I saw this cute little kit, I thought why not and try something different. I'm not too sure on the foundation but even if it's not so good I'll still be able to wear it for work which won't make it a complete waste of money! Lastly, I picked up my favourite Collection Extreme Felt Eyeliner. I did a review of this a few months back (you can check it out here) and I am still completely in love with it.

Next in Superdrug was all my other little bits. I'm sure everyones seen the new L'Oreal Sunkiss Jelly advert on the television and for anybody with Ombre hair, it definitely makes you a little intrigued. Now I know it probably won't be as amazing as it's advertised but I was still really eager to try it out and for £5.99, it wasn't too expensive. Next on my list was something to treat myself with. Like I have mentioned many times before in previous blogs, I love giving my hair a deep treatment and one I've been loving recently is the Herbal Essences Bee Strong treatment. All Herbal Essences were half price so I picked this up for around £2-£3. Next, for the third time buying, I brought myself another can of the Batiste Pixie Lott edition. I really do use a lot of dry shampoo and this stuff is amazing! It smells really gorgeous and it's my favourite scent of all the Batiste range.

Lastly I picked up the Clean & Clear Blackhead Clearing Cleanser. I've probably been using this product since my high school days and I honestly can't go a week without using it. I feel like it really cleans my skin and it feels a lot fresher after using. This was also on offer in Superdrug for about £2-£3 (I really should keep receipts!)

Glossybox July 2014 - Stars and Stripes Review! ♥

It's that lovely time of the month again where a GlossyBox filled with goodies comes through my post box. As I ordered my June box quite late in the month, I was surprised to hear that my July one was being sent to me only a few weeks later. Nevertheless, I was excited to see this month's box as GlossyBox has been leaving little teasers on their Instagram and Twitter and from the sounds of it, it was going to be a very make-up heavy box. Perfect!

This month's theme is based around the best of American products and aptly named "Stars and Stripes". The products come in a lovely American flag decorated box which is a nice change from their usual pink. This is definitely one I will keep and make use of in the future. This box also didn't come with a little magazine so I'm not sure if it's a regular thing or just every once in a while?

In this months box I got:

Bellapierre Cosmetics - Mineral Lipstick in Ruby
RRP - £20

ABSOLUTE New York - Perfecting Eyeshadow Primer
RRP - $4.99

Carmex Lip Balm
RRP - £2.69

Color Club - Glossy Seal Nail Varnish
RRP - $8 for 15ml

NYC New York Color - Cream to Powder Blush Stick in Soho Pink
RRP - £2.99 per pack
Overall I'm really impressed with this month's box and I'm genuinely excited to try out all of these products. I have to say I'm a little disappointed that I could quite easily go to a Boots or a Superdrug and probably pick up the NYC Blush and the Carmex lip balm which sort of ruined the whole American Products theme as I expected more American goodies which are less accessable over here in the UK. Other than that, it's a big thumbs up from me on this one GlossyBox and I'm already looking forward to August's Box!

Hair, Skin & Nails Vitamins: Do they really work? ♥

My hair is a big part of my life and looking after it unfortunately hasn't been my number one priority lately. Over the years it's been through it's fair share of curling, straightening and colouring from one style to another and it's started to show with horrible brittle split ends with no life or oomph. After trying several treatments and getting no results, I decided to research on different things I could try and that's where I got the idea of Hair Vitamins.

I've seen a few Instagram blogs and websites of popular hair vitamins including Viviscal and Hair Infinity with celebrity endorsements and I have to admit, it got me really exciting and reaching for my purse to order me a box. Unfortunately these products also came with a hefty celeb prices to match! I really didn't want to spend that much on vitamins and instantly started googling where else I could get my hands on cheaper alternatives.

Firstly, be careful where you buy your vitamins from. I don't recommend buying from somewhere you've never heard of or somewhere where you don't trust because they really could be selling you anything. The only websites I went onto where big brand shops where I'd previously shopped before and knew they would never sell something that was harmful. After looking for a few hours, I eventually came across Tesco's MultiPlus Vitamins. Not only are they for hair but they also help skin and nails which seemed like a little added bonus.

 What Tesco says:
"Nutritional support including Zinc, Selenium and Vitamin C to help maintain healthy hair, skin and nails and nourish from the inside."

This is my hair now after one month of taking the tablets.

As you can see I ended up buying three boxes which equaled out to three months supply. A perfect amount of time to truly test out a product and to see if a difference could be made. One box cost £3 for 30 tablets and as they're currently on offer for 3 for 2 you can get three months worth for only £6!

After a few weeks, I was already starting to notice a difference to the ends of my hair. Instead of becoming really knotty and brittle looking throughout the day, my hair now looked smooth and shiny. After showering, instead of it being a right ordeal to get my hair knot-free, my comb now easily went through my hair without any problems. I've even stopped needing to use as much leave-in products after showering. By the time I had finished my first box, the difference was amazing and I think my hair has actually grown about an inch!

I did also notice that my nails were a lot stronger and wasn't as prone to breaking compared to before I started taking them. I haven't noticed much difference on the skin side of things but since that wasn't really a problem to start with, I have to say I'm not too fussed.

I wouldn't say my hair is perfect now but I do personally think they've made a difference to my hair and I would definitely recommend trying them yourselves. I know there are more expensive products out there but these vitamins prove you can pay less and get just as good a product! My hair is a lot shinier and thicker and for only £3, I think it's an absolute bargain.
The one thing I did hate about these tablets were the size of them. I'm a complete wuss when it comes to swallowing tablets and these were slightly too big for me and I did end up cutting them in half some mornings.

As I've only been taking them for a month, I'll do an update post after all three months to see the difference.

You can get them here.

Would You Rather Beauty Tag?? ♥

Another day, another tag post!

1. Would you rather lose all of your mascaras, eyeliners, lipsticks, and lip glosses or lose all of your palettes and eye shadows?
Easy choice. I would lose my palettes and eye shadows. I never use them on a daily basis and I only put a small amount on if I go out on the night. I honestly don't think I'd miss them that much!

2. Would you rather chop all of your hair off or never be able to cut it again?
Ooh, I'd hate to have short hair after growing mine for so long but how would you get rid of split ends?! If I picked never be able to cut it again, split ends would never have to happen!

3. Would you rather have a coral cheek or a pink cheek?
Coral :) I think the red tones make the cheeks look warmer and more natural.

4. If you had £1000 to spend, would you rather buy clothes or makeup?
Ooh, hard decision but I'd have to say clothes.

5. Would you rather apply lipstick as eyeliner, or eyeliner as lipstick?
Urmm, eyeliner as lipstick? Lipstick on your eyes sounds sticky and gross.

6. Would you rather only shop at MAC or Sephora?
I have shopped in neither so I'll go with Sephora?

7. Would you rather only use one eyeshadow colour or one lip colour for the rest of your life?
Only one eyeshadow colour, and it would probably be a neutral.

8. Would you rather wear winter clothes in summer or summer clothes in winter?
Summer clothes in winter, the thought of wearing a jumper in the heat makes me feel sick!

9. Would you rather have dark nails or bright nails all year round?
Dark nails all the way!

10. Would you rather give up your favourite lip colour or favourite eye shadow?
As like the first one, I don't wear much eyeshadow so I would easily give up an eyeshadow. Just don't take away my mascara or eyeliner!

11. Would you rather only be able to wear your hair in a ponytail or messy bun?
Messy bun definitely!

12. Would you rather never be able to paint your nails again or never use lipgloss?
Easy, never use lipgloss. I really hate lipgloss and as I have long hair, more often than not I will get clumps of it stuck on my gloss.

13. Would you rather shave your eyebrows and have none at all or sharpie them in everyday?
I think I would rather have no eyebrows at all than black sharpie brows. I hate those bold black sharpie brow. Ergh

14. Would you rather live without makeup or nail polish?
I cannot live without my makeup so I'd have to pick that. My poor nails :(

The Beauty Blogger Tag ♥

Since I'm still feeling under the weather, instead of writing another review post I thought I would do a fun tag post :)
1. Is your hair naturally curly or straight?
It's in between wavy and straight. I think how long and heavy my hair is now weighs it down lol

2. What is your natural hair colour?
Medium brown

3. Do you dye it yourself or go to a salon?
I dye it myself

4. How often do you wash your hair?
Lately it's been every day though I do try and normally do it every 2 days.

5. Do you wear the same style every day or change it?
Not at all, everyday I seem to wear a different style. Someday I fancy being girly with lots of pink and dresses and some days I love my jeans and leather jacket.

6. Do you do your own mani/pedi or go to a salon?
I do my own.

7. How often to you change your nail polish?
Normally after a week. No nail polish normally lasts with me as my job includes a lot of typing on computers so they chip terrible!

I do yes. I have darker colours for winter and more colourful ones for summer.

About 10-20 minutes? I can be really quick if I need to be out of the flat in a rush but normally I take my time.

10. What do you do first? Face or eyes?
Always face. It feels wrong to do eyes first.

11. Do you "collect" makeup or just buy what you need when you need it?
I'd have to say a bit of both. I don't over collect but I like to know that if I do run out, I've got a back up to hand.

12. How often do you wear false eyelashes?
Not at all. I used to wear them every time I went out with friends a few years ago but they always fell off half way through and I just gave up on them.

13. Do you do a full face of makeup every day?
Not at all. A normal day is foundation, concealer, powder, mascara and eyeliner. I will sometimes add a highlighter or blusher but very rarely.

I do try and plan what I wear but it normally always changes when it actually comes to getting dressed so I always wait.

19. How often do you change your handbag?
My normal everyday handbag is normally every couple of months but I do change out to a smaller over the shoulder if I'm going somewhere special.

20. What time do you get up & go to sleep?
I do love my sleep so I try to go to sleep around 10-11pm and I wake up at 6am.

21. How often & when do you workout?
  It's pretty much none-existent lately.

22. Left-handed or Right-handed?

23. How tall are you?

24. Do you speak a foreign language?
I wish but no :(
25. How many pets do you have?
I have a cat named Lacey. She lives in my parent's house as I can't have pets in the flat so I don't see her that much anymore :(

26. How often are you on Blogger?
I do check it everyday but I don't post something.

27. Do you read the comments posted blogs?
Yeah, I do.

28. Do you keep a list of products to try as you see other posts?
If there's something I see that I like, I normally google it at that time. If it's something I'm interested in, I either bookmark the page or make a mental note to look for it next time I'm shopping.
29. How did you come up with your blog name?
It was a nickname my dad gave me when I was a little girl. I didn't want something with my name in it and I thought Petal Poppet would be perfect.

I use the Canon PowerShot A810 Digital Camera also I do some times cheat and use my iPhone 5.

34. Do you swear?
All the time :(

35. What are you doing with the rest of your day?
Well I'm at work now and when I finish, I'm going back to bed to sleep off this cold.
