I'm a bit late to the Make-up Revolution party because it was only a few weeks ago that I purchased my first product from this brand. When I first heard about Revolution and their amazing cheap prices, I was a little offended that a new brand had come to rival my beloved MUA but of course in the end I had to give in and see just how good they was.
When going onto their website, you're instantly hit with all these gorgeously packaged products on offer but since I wasn't really too sure on what to buy and to be honest, the lack of funds in my bank account, I kept it simple with their Vivid Blush Lacquer in Heart shade.
I clearly need to update my desk calender! Just the usual 3 months out!
Ignore my beautiful work uniform. A bloggers gotta do what a bloggers gotta do to get a good picture!
All the excitement over the blusher seemed to be a bit short lived as when it arrived I put it away in my make-up drawer and I actually forgot about it until last week when I was scrounging around for my foundation. Sorry Revolution! Nevertheless as soon as I remembered I had it, I made a big effort to remind myself to test it out on the next day.
I've not had much experience with liquid blushers so the next morning I was a little stumped on how to apply it. Luckily I had a clean blusher brush on hand so I squirted a small amount onto the back of my hand and tentatively applied to my cheekbones. I found it to be a lot harder to blend it because as soon as it touched my skin it seemed to have set and didn't budge much when I swept my brush around my cheek.
After finally getting the blusher into a suitable way, I left for work! After a gruelling shift at work, day 1 of my 30 day shred (post here) and cooking that night's dinner, when it finally came time to take my make-up off I was surprised to see that my blusher had managed to withstand all of my day. Thumbs up Revolution for your staying power!
All in all, although I do love the colour of this blush, I just cannot get my head around a liquid blusher. It was a little awkward when applying and it didn't blend as well as I'd hoped. I guess a part of me will always prefer the simplicity of powder blushers.
You can check the blusher out here on their website or in-store at Superdrug.
