Hello!
February is finally here and so the countdown to the highly anticipated Fifty Shades of Grey movie release has begun! I am extremely excited for this film as I was slightly obsessed with the books when they first came out and reading them non-stop. Plus I loved going into work and having a gossip with the girls on what chapter they were on!
I know a lot of people weren't keen on the trilogy when the hype first came around and a few people mocked then and compared them to their nan's old Mills and Boon books but I do have to give FSOG a bit of credit and say for "Erotic Romance" books, they're actually quite good.
I love reading and when I was teenager I had piles of girly romance books (even a few Ashley and Mary-Kate series) which I really loved but obviously as I grew up, so did my tastes in reading. My mom (also a keen reader) used to have so many different genres of books, mostly crime and thriller, and none of them took my fancy. I loved reading and I felt that I couldn't really get into anything that was easy going but nothing too hardcore that it felt like a chore.
That was until I found Twilight. Go ahead, mock. But Twilight was at a level that had my lovely romance but also had that drama/action that made the book slightly more adult. (Yes, I can't believe I'm saying this about Twilight). A few years after my obsession with Twilight was over though, I heard about this new and saucy book which was actually inspired by the Bella and Edward love story so of course I had to give it a try. I'm not really into Erotic books and even I will admit I skipped through a few of the sex scenes (seriously how many times did they have sex?!) but I absolutely loved it. The romance between the characters was gripping and you felt like you couldn't put the book down because every chapter ended with a cliffhanger. Like I said above, I know people mock the series but the books got me back into reading again and for that I cannot fault it!
So to summarise, Fifty Shades of Grey is basically like Twilight mixed with Porn.

Will you be going to see Fifty Shades of Grey on the 14th February?
