Hello!

As I've mentioned in a few other posts, I like to buy make-up and then completely forget about them. I always buy them under the intention of testing them out and then writing up my review or first impression. But of course, I'm terrible at that and will more than likely put them in my "to review" pile and completely forget I even brought them. Terrible beauty blogger!
Another product that I neglected was the W7 Night Glow highlighter. I can't remember when I ordered this or even where from, that's how long ago it was! I do however remember that I saw a review on Blogslovin and how it was raved about being a dupe for Benefit's High Beam highlighter. Of course as a blogger who loves a good bargain, I thought I would order me a bottle and give it a try myself.

Now I don't really think you can see it all so well on that picture but I really love the way this highlighter makes my skin look. At first I was a little tentative with the typical "nail polish" brush as I didn't know how to apply or how much but after using it for a few days I started to love that natural glow that it gave my face.
It was a little "wet" to start with and I do normally opt for powders than liquid but even I have to admit that I was a little converted after a few days. The formula went onto my skin evenly and was easy to built up for a more dramatic and noticeable effect. Perfect for both day and night!
I haven't tried the Benefit highlighter so I can't really compare it to the more expensive beauty product, but I will say it's a nice little cheap alternative if you're like me and don't like splashing the cash too much!
Benefit's High Beam - £19.50 or W7 Night Glow - £3.95
I'd definitely go for the dupe!

I'm the same, I always stick things on my 'to review' pile to blog about before I start using it daily and it takes weeks.
ReplyDeleteThis looks great. Highlighters are always hard to capture well on camera but it looks similar to high beam!

Thank you :) I've not tried High Beam so I can't really comment but it's still a great highlighter for the price! xo
DeleteThis does look really similar to high beam which I love! Totally need to give this a try as high beam is a bit too pricey for me! xx

Well Night Glow is a great cheap alternative! :) xo
DeleteI'm the exact opposite, I order makeup and put it on my face the second the package arrives lol
ReplyDeleteI'm not a fan of pink toned highlights on myself, but at that price, even I want it!

There are a few products that I do use straight away but a majority do go in the "to review" pile and normally end up staying there for a while haha xo
DeleteI also frequently dig around my beauty stash and rediscover items that seem to have buried themselves! This highlighter looks amazing and like it provides the perfect subtle glow - I love the dewy skin look at the moment :)

Well I think this highlighter would be perfect for you :) I'm really loving it at the moment! xo
DeleteI had a mini size of the Benefit version before and wasn't a huge fan so I will skip on this, but it's great to see that there is an affordable option out there x

Well at least to buy this alternative and realise you don't like it isn't that much of a bad thing as compared to splashing out on the Benefit version xo
DeleteIt's great to see there is a more affordable option to High Beam!
ReplyDeleteThere is :) xo
DeleteOoh love a good dupe alert, thank you for suggesting this! Looks so pretty!

Thank you :) xo
DeleteLooks lovely on your skin! I have a mini Benefit one from a gift set but wasn't all that pleased with it - it's waaaaaaay to shimmery. This one might be a nice alternative to try! x

DeleteThis is such a good dupe! It looks lovely on you really natural! I tend to buy stuff and forget about them too! xx
