Hello!

A few weeks ago I raved about the new Herbal Essences Nourish Me Butter shampoo and conditioner and as I was slowly running out, I decided to pop to my local Tesco and pick up another few bottles! On my way up the hair aisle though I saw that Garnier had released a new addition to their Ultimate Blends collection so of course I had to try them instead.
I've been using this product for a weeks now so I thought I would write a quick little review to say how I found the product!
I've tried a few other Honey products for my hair in the past and found them to be quite nourishing and moisturing so when I saw this I expected the same sort of results. That didn't happen.
I found the formula to the shampoo very watery and I didn't think it lathered up as well as other shampoos I've tried in the past. The conditioner was slightly better but I still never felt like it was really moisturising my hair. To say these products main claim is to restore and strengthen hair, I have to admit that it's probably done the opposite for my hair! During the few weeks I've been testing them I've had to use double the hair products both on my wet hair and on dry. Definitely not what I wanted!
The only good thing going for Honey Treasures is the gorgeous honey and royal jelly scent. Not only did it fill my bathroom when I washed my hair but it also stayed with me a few hours after drying and leaving the house.
Personally I much prefer the Herbal Essences duo more than this one and I don't think I will be repurchasing any time soon. I'd say this is quite the disappointment as I really enjoyed the rest of Garnier's Ultimate Blends range.

I have seen this a few times in Boots! Such a shame that you weren't that impressed! I may have to give this one a miss!

It might work for some people but it's not a product I would recommend! xo
DeleteI really like the Lemon version of this, but now I won't be trying this one anymore. Thanks for the honest review :)

The other sets from this range are a lot better than the Honey one! xo
DeleteWhat a shame that these didn't work, as I was actually wanting to try them! I've used a couple of others from this range and I quite liked them, but I'll steer clear of these!

I've tried a few others from this range too and I absolutely love them - I'm just not sure what went on with this one! xo
DeleteOh it's a shame that it didn't work too well, I usually love honey based hair products! xx

So do I! I much prefer the Herbal Essences version though :) xo
DeleteI've used these products and can honestly say it made no difference, they just did nothing for me! But aside from that the scent is absolutely beautiful!

Well I'm glad I'm not the only one who didn't enjoy these! xo
DeleteThank you for sharing your honest opinion on the shampoo and conditioner as I've seen it advertised and have been tempted to buy a few times now! Perhaps I will look at something similar, any recommendations on a good shampoo and conditioner for wavy hair that is neither fine or thick but needs some moisture?? :)

DeleteThats too bad you didn't like it. I'm not really a huge fan of their shampoos at all. Stick with what works best for your hair!

ReplyDeleteI was getting all excited because I love anything honey, but after reading your review I guess I will pass on these...

It didn't work well on me but I suppose other people may love it! It just depends on the person and their type of hair! xo

DeleteToo bad you were disappointed!
ReplyDeleteI usually really like Garnier hair care (except for the Fructis line), and I'm so sad that I can't find their awesome masks in the USA... I really loved those. (sorry I accidentally double-posted my comment)

Thank you :) I like their other products in their Ultimate Blends range but just not this one :( xo
DeleteI just chopped of my hair because it was dull, dry and had split ends. It's nice to know which products to look out for.
