Squeaky Clean Glow Stopper Instant Matte Tan Review!

31 July 2015

Hello!

I think I can safely say that I probably will not be going abroad this year - saving up for big things in the future does cost a lot! Unfortunately that means that if I want anything that resembles a tan, I'm probably going to have to fake it.

A few months ago now I brought the entire Creighton's Squeaky Clean range from Lidl and slowly but surely I'm testing out all of them in turn and since I was looking for a bit of colour, I thought it would be a perfect time to test out their Glow Stopper instant matte tan gel!

As all the products were 99p, I wasn't really expecting the highest of quality from this lotion but price tag aside, I was still looking to becoming a golden goddess.

Unforunately this didn't happen.

The only way I can describe the application was like I was applying BBQ sauce to my legs - without the smell obviously! It was super runny and it look forever to rub into my legs and even then you could still see where the streaks were.

The colour itself was slightly a bit too orange for me and I don't think it could be passed as "natural". Luckily for me it easily washed off in the shower so I didn't have to walk around with Wotsit legs. And as for the matte tan? There was no so matte whatsoever.

"Head turning tan"? Yes, because they're all wondering why my legs are orange!

I will definitely not be buying this again and I'm glad that I didn't waste too much money on it. Sorry Creighton's but this was a bit of a fail product!

My 25th Birthday Wishlist!

29 July 2015

Hello!

With just under a few weeks until my 25th birthday, I would now would be a perfect time to create my birthday wishlist! This was actually quite hard as there's not much that I want so a few of these might be a little unrealistic. A girl can dream though, right?

birthday wishlist

1. Pandora charm. I really love my Pandora bracelet and it's even nicer to receive new charms to add to your collection. The only that really caught my eye and which I've included in the wishlist is the Happiness charm. I love charms that have a special meaning and I thought that I could do with a little happiness in my life!

2. Crazy Cat Lady mug. Just so I can show everybody just how much I love cats.

3. Primark gift card. What can I say? I love Primark!

4. Flowerbomb perfume by Viktor & Rolf. Because this smells amazing and I'm too poor to buy it for myself!

5. Marc Jacobs watch. I do normally love Marc Jacobs thicker band watches but this simple and dainty strap with the rose gold detail is just gorgeous and I have to have it!

6. FITBIT watch. I sold my last fitness watch and I instantly regretted it. I definitely want to buy another one and the Fitbit watch looks really good!

7. Game of Thrones Book Set. I love reading and since I was such a big fan of the show, I'd get the books! Even if I don't get this as a present I will definitely be buying this for myself anyway!

8. Disney Princess Vans. I think everyone has a pair of these by now and I don't care how childish and silly I will look when wearing them, I want them!

9. To Do list plaque. Just because it's so freaking adorable!

New Look Summer 60% Off Sale! ♥

28 July 2015

Hello!

Although I'm sad that our English Summer is probably over and done with (I think it was around 3 days in total?), the only thing that helps me through is all the summer sales!

I love going up my local shopping centre and seeing "50% off" and "Everything half price!" in all the shops windows. It makes me very happy and my debit card cry.

One of my favourite places to abuse when they have a sale on, is New Look. I always manage to nab some great offers and I have to admit this one haul is probably one of my best! Of course I thought I would do a haul post to show off all my goodies. Enjoy!

White Crochet Trim Vest| £8.99 £4.00
The first thing on my list is actually the last thing I added into my basket. It looked really simple and pretty on the model but when it came it's a bit loose and very short! It's not bad for £4 though, even if I do end up wearing it to bed!

Inspire Royal Blue Pussybow Tie Dress | £22.99 £7.00
I loved this as soon as I saw it and I knew I had to have it! It's a gorgeous royal blue colour and it comes just below my knee so I can easily wear it now in the Summer and in the upcoming Autumn months! So pleased I managed to back this one!

Inspire Grey Crochet Split Back Vest | £17.99 £8.00
Although this is probably the cutest little vest I've ever since, I don't think I'd pay full price of £18 for it! Slightly too much for what it's worth and I was so much happier to pay just £8!

Inspire Aztec Print Skater Skirt | £14.99 £8.00
I have been eyeing this skirt up from the day it was put up and I was desperate for it to be in the sale. Obviously this was the first thing that went in my basket and I have to admit, I'm even more in love with it when it finally arrived. It has cute buttons all down the front and handy pockets. I'M IN LOVE!

Inspire Black Stripe Split Size Maxi Dress | £17.99 £6.00
This is an absolute steal for only £6 and I was so excited that they had it in my size! It has a sort of ribbed stripe effect with a gorgeous big split down the left side to show off those legs! I'll have to practice my Angelina Jolie pose!

Black Glitter Front Wedges| £22.99 £10.00

L'Oreal Elvive Nutri-Gloss Luminiser Shampoo & Conditioner Review!

27 July 2015

Hello!

As I've many times in previous posts I love trying out new products whenever they come out and I really am a sucker for advertisements. Seeing all those beautiful models bouncing around the place, flicking their long luscious locks everywhere because of the latest new discovery in the world of shampoo makes me actually believe that I too can have this. Like I said, I'm a sucker!

The latest products I fell more was the L'Oreal Elvive Nutri-Gloss Luminiser shampoo and conditioner set. I've tried a few of the L'Oreal Elvive products in the past and I never noticed a massive difference to my hair so I have to admit although there was a nice flashy advert on the TV, I wasn't really expecting much. Nevertheless on my next visit to Tesco, I did pop the shampoo and conditioner in my trolley to give it a try.

L'oreal shampoo and conditioner

One of the main selling points for the Luminiser range is the ingedient Glycogel which is advertised as a being part of "shine sealer technology". Over time the fibres in each hair strand can become dull and lifeless and the cuticle can become rough which will effectively disrupt the light reflection. L'Oreal claim to have found the perfect formular to remove these impurities and coat them with gloss enriched with the Glycogel to help hair go back to the perfectly polished and "show-stopping" shine! Sounds good eh?

I've been using these products for about 2-3 weeks now and I have noticed that my hair is looking a lot smoother and shinier. I'm not sure how much this is down to the shampoo or how much is down to the Hairworx tablets I've been taking. But either way, I'm loving my hair right now!

I would definitely recommend this set to anyone with dull/flat looking for a bit TLC then this is for you! I myself am in love a little in with them and I see myself picking up another bottle when I'm next out!

You can check them out here and here on the Boot's website for £3.99 for a 400ml bottle.
Psst, they're currently on 3 for 2 offer!

Working Out In Style: Fabletics Review!

25 July 2015

Hello!

I wouldn't exactly say I'm a big lover of the gym or that I'll happily spend every night in there like other people I know, but over the past couple of weeks I've really started to enjoy my time there and I've even found myself setting goals and targets and actually accomplishing them. Go me!

Obviously apart from getting fitter, another part that makes me like the gym is going out and buying new gym wear. Yes, I get excited about buying new trainers. My current kit was only from Primark and although it's served me well, I have started to noticed it's looking a bit shabby. On one of my recent visits to the gym, whilst watching the TV on the cross trainer I saw an advert for a company called Fabletics offering full gym outfits for only £22. Making a note of the name, I carried on with my work out and goggled them when I got home.

If you've not heard of Fabletics before like me, they're basically a sportswear company which offers membership subscription which gives 40% off all outfits. Not bad! One of my favourite actresses Kate Hudson is Co-Founder and probably the face of the company and as such you can look through the site and shop her "favourite outfits".

When you first sign you, they ask you to complete a short little questionnaire regarding your preferred workout and lifestyle to narrow down your outfits. After spending a good couple of hours looking through these I finally decided on my outfit and placed my order!

fabletics
fabletics

fabletics
The bottoms even match my trainers! :)

When you make your first order, you're automatically set up with a VIP membership and at first it took me a little while to get my head around it. As you explore Fabletics, sure enough you'll add a few items/outfits into your wish and on the 1st of every month, Fabletics will send you these selected outfits! If there's nothing that takes your fancy that month or you just can't afford it, you also have the option to skip and you won't be charged that month. This can be seen as really deceptive or helpful. Not sure which yet though.

The package itself didn't take long to come and as soon as I was back from work, I ripped it open the parcel to see the goodies inside. Both the T-shirt and the bottoms are exactly as described and are even more gorgeous in person. They're both definitely better quality than my Primark kit and they're so comfortable to wear.

Overall, I personally love my order and I'm super excited to try it out on the gym. I'm not so sure about keeping up with the VIP membership as it does feel a bit pushy but then you can't turn down the tempting 40%! Ahh, decisions!

I went with the Ashland Outfit but there are hundreds more combinations you can have so get on their website to check them out or to even create your own!

Rimmel Lasting Finish Colour Rush Lip Crayon in Sunkissed Review

24 July 2015

Hello!

A few months ago I posted a review of Rimmel's Colour Rush lip crayon that I got from Poundland and I was lucky enough to go back and actually pick up another shade! The first shade was Make Me Blush but I found it to be slightly too bright and "Barbie Doll" for me so I was really pleased to get Sunkissed which is definitely more toned down and more coral. My favourite colour for lips!

The same as Make Me Blush, the formula is super moisturising and the crayon glides smoothly onto my lips. It easily lasted through my morning at work and even at the end of the day you could still see the colour only just starting to fade on my lips. Not bad!

Obviously I didn't agree with Make Me Blush, but Sunkissed is definitely a more me shade and I can easily see this becoming one of my favourite shades to wear this Summer! If you're looking for a bright pinky coral pigmented lipstick then this might be the one for you!

I brought this for £1 at Poundland but you can check it out on the Boot's website for £5.99!

Collection Lasting Perfection Pressed Powder Review!

22 July 2015

Hello!

There always comes a time when us girls go shopping and purchase things that we know we don't exactly need but just can't stop ourselves from buying anyway. Well a few weeks ago this happened to me but in the middle of my local Superdrug. I had only a few weeks before brought myself a new pressed powder but there I was standing in front of the Collection range stand eyeing up their Lasting Perfection powder and I knew I had to have it!

I did try and justify it a little by the other powder I brought was slightly too light for me and I was probably going to have to sell it anyway. So of course I needed the Collection powder. Really I did!

I've used a few Collection products recently, especially their Lasting Perfection concealer which is amazing by the way, so I was expecting the same!

As I said above, I was a little annoyed with myself for picking my last powder a shade too light, so this time I went for Medium instead of my normal light just to make sure I didn't make the same mistake. Luckily for me this shade matched me perfectly!

The best chance for me to test out products is at work. Not only am I there for a long time but I'm normally rushing around so much that I can really tell how long lasting products can be. The Lasting Perfection powder boasts about lasting for a whole 16 hours and although it didn't stay on for that long, it did manage to keep my face shine free for the whole of my shift. Not bad!

As well as the powder being very long lasting, I also found that it helped cover my nasty blemishes without caking my skin in powder! The formula is very light but also gives a perfect amount of coverage. A great combo!

The other aspect of this powder that I really enjoyed was the packaging. It's super plain and simple but solid enough that it could take a bit of battering in your handbag - it's something we have to think about! The powder also comes with a handy sponge and mirror for when you're on the go!

Overall I've really enjoyed this powder and I've actually used it non-stop since buying it. It doesn't last the promised 16 hours but it's still super long lasting and helps me hide my hideous blemishes. I definitely would repurchase when this ran out!

If you like the look of this powder and you want one for yourself? Then check it out on Superdrug's website where it's currently on offer for £2.99!

My Recent AliExpress Goodies Part 1!

21 July 2015

Hello!

It's been a while since I had a good Aliexpress haul and it feels like I've done nothing but order from there recently. My bank account is really loving me right now!

If you haven't heard of Aliexpress before it's basically an Asian website where they sell pretty much anything you could imagine. Trust me! I wrote a blog post earlier this year with everything that I've brought and I thought I would do an updated post a few months on!

aliexpress

I'm a little disappointed when this came as I was expecting the chain to be slightly longer. It feels slightly too tight for my neck but other than that it's a gorgeous simple necklace!

aliexpress

I LOVE this! It's so adorable! There's a few different designs to pick from and I'm so tempted to order another!

aliexpress

I have to admit I went a little crazy when my new iPhone came and I think I might have ordered too many cases! I loved the print on this wallet and I know I'll definitely make use of it plus it has a handy stand for my phone!

aliexpress
I really love the Kate Spade bag range and of course there's no way I can afford to buy myself the real thing so this cute little messenger bag is a perfect substitute! You can it's obviously a fake but it's still not bad for under £7!

Pandora Charms | One, Two & Three
I never really wanted to buy fake or cheap charms on my real Pandora bracelet but they're Disney and I couldn't say no! Both of the Disney charms I'm so happy with and I could definitely see myself ordering more of them. Unfortunately I'm not so impressed with the Bow charm. It looks a little cheap and you can even see in the picture that one of the bottom right diamantés is on backwards! Not a complete success!

aliexpress

I really needed a mouse mat for my desk and I fell in love with this one as soon as I saw it. The quality isn't as amazing as I'd hoped but for less than £2, I can't exactly moan. Plus it's Grumpy Cat!

U+ You. But Better Raspberry Ketone Review!*

20 July 2015

Hello!

Sticking a little with the health theme from my last review of the Hairworx hair vitamin capsules, the next product I've been trialing is the U+ Raspberry Ketones. I'm sure most of you have heard of these ketones before, I remember there being a big amazement about them and the big dash to get to Holland and Barratt as they had two for one on all their raspberry ketone capsules before they all sold out- and trust me, they did! It was the must-have craze at the time but after a few weeks everyone had packed them in! I myself actually enjoyed taking them and did notice a difference to my weight loss but after finishing my pack I never bothered to re-purchase. Whoops!

Well last month U+ were looking for volunteers to try out their own brand of raspberry ketone capsules and I thought I would give them a second chance and volunteer myself!

If you've never heard of U+ You. But Better, they provide high-quality weight loss supplements in the form of raspberry ketones, green coffee bean and 5-HTP capsules.  They boast themselves as a forward thinking and fast moving supplements brand who bring the finest ingredients and formula's into all of their products. Surely they can't be too bad, right?

raspberry ketones

After ordering the capsules from Amazon, it was only a few days after when they arrived at my door. I really loved the packaging as soon as I saw it, just a very simple and modern foil pouch! As soon as you open the pouch, the smell of raspberries hit you. Yum! The capsules size itself is the same as the Holland and Barrett tablets which I had problems with last time - I know I'm a wuss!

As I said above I have used Raspberry Ketones in the past and apart from having problems swallowing the damn things, I had really good results. As well as dieting and working out regularly, I had lost well over a stone in less than a month. Not bad! Since I had such good results I was hoping for the same from the U+ capsules.

I've been taking these capsules for about a month now and although I haven't been as strict as I would have liked with my diet or the gym, my weight is slowly but surely going down! Since starting them I had a few things going on in my personal life which might the reason for loss as I've hardly been eating but over all I've lost 10 pounds!

After my month's trial I'm really pleased with the results and I definitely think I'll be sticking with them! If you fancy giving them a go for yourself, you can check the capsules out on U+'s own website or on their Amazon page

*I was sent this to trial but my opinions are honest and my own.

Strawberries for Breakfast: Essington Fruit Farm!

19 July 2015

Hello!

One of my favourite memories as a child would be in the 6 weeks summer holiday when my parents would take me strawberry picking. We'd hide in the fields picking away and probably end up eating more than what was actually in our baskets. Sorry!

Well today I got to relive those memories when my parents, my nan and I went to Essington Fruit Farm in Wolverhampton. We actually went two years ago and came home with a boot full of fresh fruit and meat!

Everything is grown on the farm and it's available for the public to come and pick their own or just come to buy in their shop. They have a huge range of fruit and vegetables to pick from but of course you have to check the website to see what's available in that specific month.

I was only interested in the raspberries and strawberries as those are my favourite fruits but since the weather turned a little dicey, we only managed to pick our own strawberries - we had to buy our raspberries from the shop!

Another thing I will say if you do ever visit Essington farm, try their ice cream! It's AMAZING. My personal favourite is raspberry swirl and it's like nothing I've ever tasted before. It's so thick and creamy and you can tell it's been made with love - corny I know!

All in all,  Essington farm is a great day out for the family and even has a small cafe to stop and stay for dinner before you leave. I will warn you that you will need a lot of money because everything looks so god damn good!

Warning guys, this is a heavy picture post. Sorry!
