I want to lay you down in a BATH of roses: Titsy Totsy Lush Bath Bomb Review!

30 September 2015

Hello!

Yes that title was a Bon Jovi lyric. I'm well cool.

A couple of weeks ago I managed to win a competition hosted by the lovely Reneé over on Lose The Road and one of the products in my package was the gorgeous Titsy Totsy bath bomb from Lush.

I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to Lush so I've been trying to "educate" myself by buying a few bath bombs from their collection and when I found out I was going to get some new Lush product, being excited was an understatement.

Like I said above, I was so excited to try this out so as soon as my parcel arrived, I ran myself a bath to test it out! Lush describe the Titsy Totsy bath bomb as the medieval love potion with an enticing combination of floral orris root powder, rose, and lemon. As suggested I really did fall in love with the scent and it was so relaxing to sit and soak yourself in for a an hour ... or three.

Overall I really loved this bath bomb and I really noticed my skin feeling a lot softer when I came out. I've also never bathed in a bath full of dried flowers but this bath bomb is definitely the way to go. Why don't we do this for every bathtime!? You can check it out here on the Lush website for £3.35 per bomb!

Things I'm Loving | September

Hello!

August is over and it feels that before I know it, all the Christmas songs and Halloween costumes will be hitting the shops. We're just wishing our years away! My last "things I'm loving" post was back in June and between then and now, I have a lot more new things that I'm currently in love with! Of course I thought I would write an updated post!

1. Pretty Little Liars

PLL

When the finale was finally released and everyone was going slightly crazy about it, I was like "What IS this show?" so I thought I would check it out for myself on Netflix. Needless to say after sitting and watching 10 episodes in one go, I am now addicted! I've actually finished upto season 6 now and although I'm majorly loving it, I have no idea how they can keep this going for a whole 6 seasons! Is that it that difficult to find out who A is!?

2. Autumn is coming!

autumn

Let's be honest - our Summer in the UK is pretty much done and over! It was sweet while it lasted but the colder months are coming and that is coming is really exciting to me! I love Autumn as I personally think it's the prettiest season for all the gorgeous colours from the fallen leaves. I cannot wait!

3. Being Alcohol-free!
dryathlon

I'm not sure if this is a sarcastic "love" or not but I thought I would include it anyway! Bascially to challenge myself, I signed up for the Dryathlon in aid of Cancer Research. So far I'm going strong although on a recent night out I was very tempted to order myself a cocktail. But I stayed strong and sipped at my Diet Coke instead! You can check out my page here if you're interested!

4. Lush

lushlush

I'm a bit of a newbie when it comes to Lush and it was my first time going in and actually buying a bath bomb! I was a little overwhelmed but I eventually settled on two, the Rose Jam bubbleroon and the Frozen bathbomb. I am now a convert and finding it hard to not go back and buy the entire store!

5. Kate Moss Nude Collection Lipstick

rimmel lipstick

I'm in love. End of.
I brought this lipstick at the beginning of July and I think I have worn it everyday since! I love the way it makes my lips look and since it's a gorgeous nude but slightly shimmery, it can be worn for ANY event! I'm running low and I will definitely need to get back up Superdrug to buy another!

6. My New Car!

my new car

It was only a year ago that I brought my (now) old car but after giving me probably the year from hell with the cost of repairing it, I have now decided it was time to say goodbye! I have now welcomed my new Golf GT baby into the family and I am super in love with it *enter heart eye emoji*

Insta Natural Superior Hydration Argan Oil Hair Mask Review!*

29 September 2015

Hello!

Feeling rough is a complete understatement this past weekend. Not only have I had a few things going on in my personal life but I also came down with a cold. Urgh! I know that a runny nose and irritating men are nothing compared to other people's problems but some days, the little problems just build up and really bring you down. This was me this weekend.

To cheer myself up I thought I would pour a nice hot bubble bath, light a few candles and even treat myself with my new Argan Oil hair mask from the lovely Insta Natural. I'm really starting to love this brand and I've reviewed multiple products from them by now so I knew my hair was in good hands when I slathered it all over my hair.

The instructions actually suggest applying to damp, towel dried hair but since I was in the bath and didn't want to have to mess about getting back in the shower again, I just shampooed my hair and then applied the mask. A few chapters of my book after (yes, I read quick) I washed the product off and went off to dry my hair.

Apart from the gorgeous coconut and almond scent that it left my hair with, I was really surprised with how much softer my hair felt. I've been trying so many different products recently to help revive my dead ends but only a small few have actually made a difference to my hair. This is definitely one of them. Even hours after washing my hair, I kept running my fingers through my ends because I couldn't believe how soft it was!

The price for me is probably a little steep but for £17.95 you do get a big 240ml tube and since I only needed a few scoops to cover my hair, I can see this size lasting me quite a long time. It's definitely going to be one of products that I'll go to when I need a bit of TLC. If you fancy treating yourself too with this hair mask, you can check it out here on Insta Natural's Amazon page.

*I was sent this to trial but my opinions are honest and my own.

L'Oreal Volume Million Lashes Extra Black Review

28 September 2015

Hello!

As I've said before in previous posts, I much prefer to try different brands and products instead of just sticking to one product and re-buying over and over. I like to have a bit of variety in my make-up bag!

The one product I've always a bit of a soft spot for is the L'Oreal Volume Million Lashes. Anyone remember the old advertisement for it with Cheryl then Cole? Well I loved that mascara! I don't think any other mascara has made my lashes look just as full and volumised as this mascara.

Well on one of my recent trips to Superdrug I was desperately in need of some new foundation which I actually picked up from the L'Oreal counter (review will be soon!) and since they had an 3 for 2 offer I decided to pick up another tube of the mascara! Perfect!

million lashes

The pictures above really don't do the mascara justice as it volumises my lashes so much that I can actually feel them brushing against my glasses when I blink. That never happens!

Normally when I buy mascara, I tend to stick to big, thick bristle brushes as opposed to the smaller comb brushes. I think the comb actually makes my lashes stick together and give that horrible "spider legs" look. Ew! The Million Lashes brush has a multitude of small fine bristles which is meant to help achieve that fanned-out effect without any clumps. And I honestly can't agree more with that. I feel like I'm wearing fake lashes when I look in mirror!

Although £9.99 is probably on the higher end of what I'd like to spend on my make-up, I really think this mascara is worth paying that little extra for. I loved it about 5 years ago and I still love it now! It is definitely that perfect mascara if you want to fake big lashes without the drama. If you fancy giving them a go, you can check it out here on the Superdrug website!

Everything But The Memories Goodies Bag!*

27 September 2015

Hello!

If you're following me on Instagram (link here incase you're not!), you probably would have seen my picture showing off my new blogging stationary from Everything But The Memories! I had fell in love with a few of their products a while back so when they kindly offered to send me some goodies to review, I jumped at the chance!

A few days after agreeing, a cute little polka dot package was posted through my door with all my cute and personalised gifts inside. As you can see, everything was beautifully wrapped and opening them all felt like little presents. It was my birthday all over again!

everything but the memories

everything but the memories

Inside my package was this adorable "Blog idea" notepad with "I believe in Unicorns" pencil. These have now taken pride of place next to my computer and has even come with me in my handbag when I had ideas on the go!

As well as the notepad, I also got sent the super cute "You better check yourself" keyring which now is attached to my new car keys! This is probably my favourite goody as it always makes me smile whenever I go out driving.

Overall I really love my goodies from EBTM and I can easily see myself ordering more things from them in the future. If you're ever in the look out for a cute personalised gift for a friend or family member, then I would definitely recommend EBTM as they have so much good products and choice to choose from!

Echo Falls Fruit Fusion Wine Range Review! ♥

26 September 2015

Hello!

I'm not an alcoholic and I really don't want this blog post to come across that I am, but I'm sure we can all admit that there all comes those days where you've been stressed to hell and back and the only thing that can make you feel better is a nice glass of wine. Just admit it!

Since I signed up for the Dryathlon for charity, I thought I would celebrate my last weekend with my favourite alcohol, wine!

It's hardly news about the new Echo Wine fruit fusion range but it's probably the first time that I've seen them in store! I think there's a few different variations in all red, rosé and white wine but since I'm not really a red wine drinker, I brought the Summer Berries, White Peach and Mango and the Pear and Raspberry bottles. Yum!

I have to admit that out of the three that I trialled, the Summer berries is probably my favourite. It's really light and refreshing and you can really taste the strawberries and raspberries. My second favourite was definitely the Pear and Raspberry although I did find that a little strong - maybe a little lemonade might be needed with that one!

Unforunately the one that didn't live up to my expectations was the White Peach and Mango. I'm currently going through a bit of a Mango loving phase so I thought I would love this but I honestly couldn't taste any mango! The white peach was a lot stronger and seemed to overpower any chance of tasting mango. Oh well!

The only downside to this range is that they do taste exactly like squash and before you know it, you've downed a whole bottle to yourself! Whoops! Overall though for £4 a bottle, they're perfect for those Summer parties or a girlie night in! They are now my go-to bottle to buy and I will definitely be buying another when Dryathlon is finished!

Herbal Essences Clearly Naked 0% Volume Shampoo and Conditioner Review!

25 September 2015

Hello!

Lately I'm a little mission to find the perfect shampoo and conditioner for my hair and although I do have a few shortlisted, I've still not found the one! I'm a little late to the Herbal Essences Clearly Naked range and since I do love their other duos, I thought I would give them a go!

Now the Clearly Naked range come in three different colletions; Moisture, Shine and Volume and after standing in Superdrug for 5 minutes reading all the selling points, I finally decided to pick Volume.

herbal essences shampoo and conditione

The Naked range is specially made so it leaves 0% heavy residues and dyes in your hair after using. The volume shampoo and conditioner are made to help restore 100% of our hair’s natural body and leave the strands feel revitalized and refreshed.

I've been using both products for just over two weeks now and although my hair doesn't feel very volumised, it does feel a lot lighter and fresher. Does that make sense?

The other amazing selling point to the Naked range is the fragrance! They're all infused with white grapefruit and mint extracts and it literally fills your whole bathroom with it's gorgeous smell. I even think my mom has been having a sneaky use of them as well as I can always smell the mint when she's been in the shower. Naughty!

I don't think these are exactly what I was looking for in my mission to find the perfect shampoo duo but I have to admit they're not far off! If you're interested in checking them out yourself, they're currently on offer at Boots for £1.75 each! Bargain!

Glossybox September 2015 Style Edition!

24 September 2015

Hello!

I don't know what's wrong me but for the past couple of months I've completely forgot when my Glossyboxes are due. It's like one day I wonder when they'll come and the next it's pushed through my postbox. Magic!

I've actually been trying to keep an eye out for any teasers about this box as I knew it would be a special style edition and that it would include a full size hair mask from the sneak peek from last month's box!

So when it finally did arrive, eager was not the word to describe how I felt!

Bellápierre Shimmer Powder | £12.99
I have to admit that I don't really wear eyeshadows much anymore but Whesek is a gorgeous greige (grey meets beige) shade and I think I would definitely get some use out of it for the upcoming Christmas party season! Forward thinking and all!

Marsk Eye shadow Brush Pro | £16.70
Spending a lot of money on make-up brushes is something that I don't really like doing. I'm so much happier to buy a cheap £1 one from Primark and probably changing it every couple of months. But I really like this brush and I'm excited to trying it out when applying my new shimmer powder!

Maria Nila Luminous Colour Hair Masque | £18.95
The product I have been waiting for! I love hair products and especially anything that claims to nourish your hair and to give you the "glossiest locks ever". I am so looking forward to using this!

Invisibobble Traceless Hair Ring | £4.00
I LOVE this brand! I previously reviewed this a year ago and I completely fell in love with them. You wouldn't think they would be any good but after giving them a go, I have now replaced all my old bobbles with the Invisibobble!

Nails Inc Nail Polish | £11.00
I personally wouldn't pay £11 for a nail varnish because with my job no nail varnish lasts longer than a couple of days BUT this is a gorgeous colour and I did apply it to my nails as soon as I opened the box. It's a very pink and girly shade but I am completely in love with it!

On Wednesdays We Wear Pink: L'Oreal Color Riche Collection Exclusive Naomi's Lipstick Review

23 September 2015

Hello!

I'm not sure about you, but I just love buying new lipsticks. There's nothing better than getting out of your comfort zone and buying a slightly darker or brighter lip colour and then wearing it for the first time. It makes me feel empowered! Just me?

Well on my most recent shopping trip to Superdrug, I needed to pick up a new foundation and while I was having a little browse, I noticed that L'Oreal had a 3 for 2 offer on all of it's products so as well as my new foundation and a sneaky mascara, I thought I would treat myself to a new lipstick!

If you're in the know, you've already heard about the new matte collection exclusive lipstick range created with the help of their celebrity spoke models! They're previously released their red and nude collection and now it was the pink's turn!

Because I was a little undecided on whose pink to buy, I ended up going with Naomi Watts' Delicate Rose shade. It's described as a mauve ‘tea’ pink lipstick, the epitome of refinement, bringing the appearance of freshness and sophistication to fair skin tone and since I would class myself as pale, I thought it would be perfect for me.

On the test swatch on my hand I have to say it looks slightly coral and bright but when it's applied to the lips, it's actually a very subtle pink pearlescent shade which I thought really complimented my skin tone.

The formula is quite moisturising when applied but I found after about an hour my lips felt quite dry and that they needed a little bit of TLC. A bit gutting since the lipstick is £7!

Overall I really am in love with this shade and I honestly haven't stopped wearing it since I brought it! Naomi's shade is perfect for me although I am tempted to go back and try out another shade just to see how I get on with that! You can check out Naomi's shade and the rest of their range on line or pop into your local Boots or Superdrug!

New Décor | Scrabble Tile Fairy Lights

21 September 2015

Hello!

A bit of a sucker when it comes to novelty products. It's like the big kid inside of me comes out and takes over my body and doesn't stop until I give in!

Well a couple of weeks ago I saw a post over on Victoria's blog VIPXO about her new Scrabble tile fairy lights and of course that inner child came straight out and wanted a set for myself. As most of you can probably agree, fairy lights are an absolute must to make your room look even more girly and pretty but scrabble fairy lights?! You just have to buy them!

scrabble lights

The one thing that really grieves me about the lights is that it's only 10 tiles across and my name is 7 letters. Even if I use my nickname, Natty Ann, it's still uneven due to the space. My OCD is going crazy! As you can see I've tried to disguise this with a little X at the end.

Apart from that small set back, I am absolutely in love with these lights and I'm so happy that I picked them up. Everyone that I've shown them to have also fell in love with them and have even ordered themselves a pack!

Lot's of different shops are selling these lights but I actually picked mine up from eBay for £19.95 with free postage.
