Cancer Research Dryathlon 2015: Halfway Point!

I've finally reached the halfway point in my Dryathlon and to say it's been a struggle is an understatement! Not to sound like a raging alcoholic but I really do miss my glasses of wine after a long and stressful day at work. Even now I can just taste it. Urghhh!
It's technically been 16 days since I last tasted anything alcoholic as I wanted to start from the 1st September fresh and not hungover so my last day drinking was actually the 30th August!

To help spure me on, Cancer Research sent a little goodie pack included a very handy and encouraging countdown poster which is now taking pride of place on my notice board. Also in the pack came little coasters and a rubber bracelet to show everyone I'm a "dryathlete".

Although the pack was great, I was a little gutted because when I completed the Stay Sober for October for Macmillan I got an adorable little "Sober Hero" pin in that pack so this time I had to order my Dryathlete pin separately. Hey it's all for charity! As well as my pin I also noticed that they had this gorgeous pink filter water bottle on sale for £2.49 so of course that went in my basket as well!

I still have about two weeks left to go and I'm hoping they go by quite quickly! The 1st October cannot come quick enough. Although my friends have been talking about doing the Stay Sober for October and asking me to join them. Two months no alcohol? No thanks!
