Insta Natural Retinol Skincare Products Review!*

30 October 2015

Hello!

I feel like over the past couple of months I've been bombarded with Insta Natural products for me to try and although I'm not complaining because they really are a great company who make great products - I do feel slightly overwhelmed!

The latest product to be sent my way was the Advanced Action Retinol Moisturiser and the Age-Defying 2.5% Retinol Serum. Both of these retail around the £20 mark which I have always said it slightly too much for me to pay but since I've always had good results from Insta Natural, maybe I should splash the cash every once in a while!

Anyway, on to the review!

When I first opened the products I noticed that the moisturiser had leaked a little on it's travels over to me but after mopping it up, it was good as new. Other than that I was really excited to start testing them out. I don't think there was a specific time to use these products but I used them in my night-time skin routine just before I went to bed.

Since the moisturiser was already open, I thought I would give that a go first. At the time of trialling these, my skin was mega dry and was in desperate need for some TLC and I honestly think this moisturiser worked perfectly for this. I noticed after a few nights that my skin was feeling softer and those nasty dry patches were a thing of the past!

Moving onto the serum! I've never used a skincare product that came with a dropper applicator before - it takes me back to my old high school science classes! Although I was a little scared of using this as I thought it would make my already oily face even oiler, I did however grow to love it. The one thing that I really loved about this serum was the strong and zangy scent of orange. It felt really refreshing and cooling on my skin. If you're not keen on fruity smells then I don't think this would be the product for you.

Unfortunately the results from the serum didn't come as quickly as the moisturiser. After a couple of days I noticed a few differences with the moisturiser but I didn't see anything change from the serum until a good couple of weeks after. All in all though my face now feels a lot firmer and brighter, especially under my eye area due to these products. Any traces of lines around my eyes have completely faded and I feel like I'm a teenager again!

Overall I'm quite pleased with these products and I'll definitly continue to use them over the upcoming Autumn/Winter months when the weather gets harsher!

*I was sent this to trial but my opinions are honest and my own.

To get myself more in the mood for Autumn (if that's at all possible) I thought I would look out for some DIY ideas on my favourite website ever right now, Pinterest. I did write a similar post this time last year but I thought I would give a more updated version!

All of these DIYS are super easy to make and I have added them all on my Pinterest page incase you want to check any of them out!

Life | Break-ups Suck!

28 October 2015

Hello!

We've all been there at some point in our life, it's just happens. It's sort of like a right of passage into becoming a woman.

Well I've been going through a break-up my self recently and although I know it happens all the time and that "I'm still young and I'll find someone else", this break-up has really took it's toll on me. It's been a few months since it happened and even after all that time, I still wouldn't say that I'm 100% okay.

But I know that it will take time before I'm fine and ready to even begin thinking about a new relationship so being to enter a stage where I'm getting "okay" with the situation. Does that make sense?

In an attempt to speed that process up I did a little bit of googling on ways to help get over a break-up and since I found that a few had helped me, I thought I would share them with you guys! Just in case like!

break up

1. Let it all out.
(I could have made a terrible Frozen quote but I held it in!)
I found that venting out a lot of my frustration about my knobhead ex really helped me and made me feel a lot more calmer. Whether it's just screaming into a pillow, punching that pillow or even a good long cry, let it all go. Don't hold in your emotions!

2. Treat Yo' Self
I am a firm believer that there is always a reason to treat yourself and a break-up is pretty high up on that list. Whether it's that pair of shoes you've been eyeing for the past couple of weeks or just simply that new chocolate bar that you keep seeing advertised - Treat yourself! You are so worth it!

3. Listen to happy music only
We all have that one song that we classed as our song, I know I did. DELETE THEM ALL. No girl wants to be listening to her music on shuffle then have a mini break down because our romantic slow song came on. Just get rid of them! Popsugar has even helped us girls out and created a Best Breakup Song Playlist to help us get over our exes!

4. Friends & Family Time
There's nothing better than spending some quality time having a laugh with your friends and family. Make plans to see that friend you've not seen in months or go out for a family meal. These people love you and will do anything to see you smile again and you might just find that you've gone a few hours without thinking about your ex! Bonus!

5. Do Something For YOU!
The one thing that I loved to do when I first became single was driving. Even if I didn't have place in mind, it was nice to get out there and clear your mind. Some people would go for a walk or a run but driving for me is when I get my time to think!

6. No Contact
Normally a hard one but if it's really over, just avoid them. Don't put yourself through any extra stress and block his number and his profile on every social media account. That also means no cyber-stalking days after to see if he's as heartbroken as you!

7. Cleanse!
Get rid of all those reminders around you. That means photos on your phone, gifts he gave you and even any clothes ect that he might have left over at yours. Get rid! On the plus side, there might be some things you can sell on eBay - might as well get some money back from this break-up!

8. Don't Rush Things!
Don't feel like you have to rush into another relationship just because you feel lonely. Going back to number 4 but choose to go out with friends and family instead. Obviously there's no harm in a little flirting with the opposite sex, you're not a hermit after all, but just focus on time on yourself!

9. Love Yourself
The most important part of any breakup is to love yourself. No matter what happened whilst you were together or how your relationship ended or, that doesn't make you a bad person.

Life | Re-decorating My Bedroom Ideas!

27 October 2015

Hello!

Since it's been a few months since moving home, I finally made the decision to re-decorate my bedroom. Having to move back home sucks especially when you move back into the room where all your teenage years were spent. You're an adult now and I think your room should show that.

Since I have no idea what or how to decorate my room like, I went to one of my favourite places on the internet, Pinterest for ideas.

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water Review!

26 October 2015

Hello!

I have to admit that I never really got into the whole Micellar water craze and I was still a little behind the time as I much prefer to use my facial wipes to take off my make-up. How wrong I was. Over the past couple of weeks though, I've had a really bad breakout on my face of acne and dry patches so I've had a bit of a re-think about my skincare routine!

My new favourite shopping website for toiletries is The Online Pound Store and whilst I was flicking through a few weeks ago I saw they had the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water mini 125ml bottles for of course just one pound! Since everyone keeps raving about micellar water, I thought this would be a good chance to try it out without having to waste too much money if I didn't like it!

I have to admit that I was pretty excited when my package arrived and although I ordered a few more goodies, I was more eager to start using the micellar water.

Since starting using the micellar water, I've now ditched using the facial wipes as my lone skincare product and instead use it first just to help take the majority of my foundation off. After that I thoroughly go over my face with the micellar water to completely rid my face off make-up. I end with a spritz of my toner and finish with my handy matte moisturiser! After using this routine for several days I noticed my skin was clearing up lovely!

I definitely recommend trying out the micellar water craze if you haven't already - I can't believe that I've only just tried it! If you fancy giving this a go too, you can check it out on The Online Pound Store website or for the full 400ml size in Superdrug and Boots.
