Hello!

I am the type of person likes to sit down every once in a while and reminisce about things that have happened in the past. I always think it's a good idea to remember then then for them to fade into your memory.
Well the other day I was thinking about dying my hair red and how it would look on me (riveting thinking I know) when I actually remember having my hair a very vibrant bright red for about 6 months. How could I forget that?!
This lead me on to think about all the other hair styles and colours I've had over the years and since it's been quite a colourful (literally) history, I thought I would share some of my favourites! Enjoy!

All of my family will happily tell you that my hair really was gorgeous when I was a baby/toddler. Not only was it very thick but it often fell in pretty little ringlets that often made me look like a doll. My mom hated cutting my hair and I pretty much had it long until I was able to decide for myself when I was about 10. That was when I had it all cut off and into a horrendous chin length bob. I'll avoid the pictures of this time period as it's something I like to forget ever happening!

Next came my boring Jane Norman bags, GHDs and everything with Playboy on high school years and I have to honest, it's pretty dull. Our school was quite strict at the time so coloured hair or funky haircuts were not allowed - I even got shouted at for having too thick blonde highlights. Truth! Needless to say I made up for it as soon as I left school!

Next came my "I'm turning into emo/scene kid" phase which meant lots of short layering and backcombing. I had just started hairdressing at college which also meant that I was basically an adult who was cool and could do whatever I wanted. Gotta love those old school Myspace poses!

This was my "We're learning colouring at college" stage and as you can see I went a little mad. First came a bit of blonde under my fringe but I got bored with that and dyed it bright pink. As you do! As soon as that had all faded I was on the look out for something else new and exciting. And that was basically having the whole front section of my hair bleached blonde, and the back brown. The only way I can describe it is similar to this. Needless to say this didn't last too long!

Next came my calming down phase and opted for a mid length but choppy look. I kept this for a while so my hair could grow out a little. By the time my hair was way down my back I did start to get a bit restless so I decided to dye my hair all over red. It doesn't look it in the second picture, more purple than anything but I swear it was red.
After getting bored of constantly topping up my red dye, I decided to dye it back brown for a few months to help recover from all the chemicals. Obviously as you can tell from my past, that didn't last long and then I started my journey to Ombré! This has been my most favourite look out of everything I've ever had and I think I've actually had it this way for nearly 5 years! Eek! I did spice it up a little along the way with a bit of crazy colour, but I soon missed my blonde!

This brings up to the end of my hair history as of this month! If you follow my blog or my Instagram, you'll have noticed that I recently lobbed all of my hair off! Scary! Obviously there's not much I can change at the moment so I can see myself having having a bit of time off playing Hairdresser and give my hair a break. But never say never!
This was so fun to read! I think your hair looked pretty amazing with the bright pink! haha My hair barely ever changes. I kept the exact same look from grade 8 all the way until this year haha (im not very adventurous in the hair department!)
