Bullying Bloggers & Treaclemoon | #BeYou Campaign

Hello!

Even with everything terrible that's going on in the world, there are still small time bullies out there who seem to get pleasure in causing other people grief. Whether it's taunting someone to their face or the cat-like bitching behind their backs. It's almost second nature to some people to be mean to people. When did this start being okay?

Now people have evolved and started bullying on social media, where now they can say all their nasty comments without even having to look the person in the face. Nice. I've mentioned this happening between bloggers before in other posts and one thing I really do not enjoy from blogging is that type of drama. I've read stories on other blogs and even seen it happen a few times myself and it honestly makes me feel like we're back in the school playground again.

Well at treaclemoon, they believe that true beauty comes from the heart and is something that can only shine to it's very brightest potential when we have the confidence to be ourselves. They believe in it so much that they've created a whole campaign called #BeYou to raise awareness of the amazing work of BulliesOut.

As well as BulliesOut, Treaclemoon are also teaming up with bloggers and "social media influencers" to help support and promote the campaign to end social media bullying and to help inspire people to #BeYou and there's a few different ways you can get involved!

-Tweet +treaclemoon_UK or post on their Facebook page an inspiring quote about the joy of being yourself, using the hashtag #BeYou
-Instagram a picture of whatever you feel celebrates something that goes into making you, you. This can be a picture with your friends, a hobby or even your "bed hair" as suggested by Treaclemoon. Don't forget to also tag them and use the hahtag #BeYou
-Tweet or Instagram a picture of you wearing any of the #BeYou merchandise available at their store!

To say thank you, Treaclemoon sent me the Sweet Blackberry Memories shower gel and #BeYou wrist band! Without turning this into a beauty review post, I will however say that the shower gel smells UHHHH-mazing and it makes me look forward to having a shower! Definitely recommend you trying it out for yourself!

To summarise this post and to not let myself ramble on and on for hours on end, I really support this campaign as I think it's such a big problem nowadays. People don't seem to realise how hurtful and pressurising even one comment can be to someone and instead we should all start to be more empowering to motivate each other!

  1. this is so true! I definitely see bloggers acting like little children, wanting more than the other, not caring that their actions may hurt others. It's shameful, I thought we were all past this...
Great campaign. Definitely #BeYou, do your thing and dont let bullies bother you. Once a bully, always a bully..

    1. Thanks Pam :) I'm glad I'm not the only one who notices this going on and has a problem with it! When did it get being okay to treat other people like this? xo

  2. What an amazing campaign! I was a bit of an oddball at school which attracted some negative attention, I dread to think what my experience would have been like if it happens now with social media being so prominent!
