How To Have A Stress-free Christmas!

Let's be honest - as much as Christmas is a fun and exciting time of the year, it can also be one of the most stressful. Just getting all your shopping done before the big day can be a task all in itself. Rushing around your local shopping centre, fighting over the last pair of fluffy slippers in your size and just hours and hours of standing around queueing. Urgh! My head hurts just thinking about it.

Well sit back and relax as I have created my own little checklist of how to have a stress-free Christmas!

stress free christmas

1. Order online!
Avoid the crowds all together and order your shopping on line. Yes there is always the postage cost and the worry of whether it'll get here in time but I would rather pay around £10 for next day delivery instead of fighting over things in store. Plus there has been so many occasions when I've seen something I really want on line and I've put off ordering it until I go instore, but then by the time I have, it's gone out of stock! If you see something you like and

2. Reuse / Re-gift.
Every year I look at all the lovely new decorations and baubles being brought out and I really have to stop myself from going mad and buying them all. I did however only buy new ones last year so they will definitely get a bit more show time than just one year! Re-gifting presents is a bit of no-go with some people, but if done right it can save you a lot of money. Just make sure you don’t gift it back to the original sender! Awkz

3. Wowcher / Groupon
These websites have saved my life over the years; not only by their great sales but by actually giving me present ideas! Even this year I had no idea what to buy my dad but after a look on Wowcher, I have now found the perfect gift idea for him! Perfect.

4. Voucher websites
When you do need to splash out on something, then make sure you not only shop around, but if you’re buying online to check out voucher websites such as to help you get the best price possible on those must-have presents.

5. Cash back websites
The same with number 4, saving money in every available way is just essential over Christmas. Just think, whatever you save means you can buy more presents! Signing up for Cash back websites are super easy and all you need to do is visit the website you wish to purchase from via the cash back website. Simple!

6. Gift cards
When in doubt, just buy those pesky relatives a gift card to their favourite store. They're definitely not as fun to open on Christmas morning but then at least they can go out themselves and buy something they actually want! Win win!
7. Get organised!
This probably the hardest one for me, I am always spotting things and thinking ohh that would be just right for someone and so I buy it, but then I get home and think why the hell have I brought this!? I have now vowed to get more organised by actually write a list of what you really need and stick to it!

8. IOU
Sometimes things just don't work out and you can't always buy that perfect present you was after. It was either out of stock or you was just short of funds - it happens! Well you can send your loved ones a cute little IOU from the money saving expert website until you can buy it. Save of the day!
