It's been a while since I brought a new foundation, or at least it feels like a while. So on my recent shopping trips to the Freeport Talke Shopping Outlet, I thought I would stock up while things were cheap!
The first foundation that I brought to review was the Revlon Photoready Air Brush mousse foundation. The only mousse foundation that I've tried before was the well known and mostly disappointing Maybelline Dream Matte a.k.a dry mousse. I have to admit that although I brought about two pots of the stuff, I hated it. It dried out my skin and it was super patchy. I was hoping that since this mousse came in a can, it might be a bit more "fresh" and not dried up. Does that sound weird?
I'm in love. As you can see from the pictures, the formula is perfect and it's a lot more watery than the Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse. That means it goes on a lot quicker and more effortlessly which is a god send when you're in a rush in the morning for work. Not much of the product is needed as well to cover your face so the one can could easily last you months!
Although I said the formula is "watery" that doesn't mean it's thin and fades really easily. The coverage for the mousse is amazing and it does the job just like any other foundation that I've used in the past.
Overall I really enjoyed this foundation and I can see myself happily using this for both day and night. For me the price is a little steep at £12.99, especially when I managed to get it for about £7 at the shopping outlet. Do I feel like my face has been air brushed and is now ready for a photo shoot? Maybe yes. Maybe a few more layers of other products on top of it though and I'd be ready to go!
