MUA Power Pout Glaze in Hush Review ♥

29 April 2016

Hello!

I'm not sure what's wrong with me lately but I've been ever so forgetful! I feel like in the week I'm so busy and tired from work that I literally chill for a few hours and then go to bed and then by the time the weekend comes around I'm so desperate to go out and do my own thing that a lot of things get left behind. And unfortunately blogging has become one of those things.

One of the products that got left behind was my MUA Power Pout Glaze that I received back in my February Glossybox! Bad beauty blogger me!

Before this Glossybox arrived, we were all asked to pick a shade to recieve and since I picked the darkest shade for the Revlon lipstick in a few boxes before, I decided to go with the lightest. Or in this case, the nudest.

I have to admit that when it did finally arrive I was quite worried about it being TOO light/nude but I found that when it was applied to my lips it just gave my lips a bit of gloss and shimmer.

I wasn't too keen on the brush applicator and I found that it's not as precise or easy to apply as your traditional doe foot applicator. Don't change whats not broken!

I have mentioned before in previous posts that I don't actually like lip glosses but since this was sent to me, I won't turn my nose up at it and I will as always try and work it onto my make-up routine. You never know when a clear/nude lipgloss can come in handy!

If you weren't signed up to Glossybox you can check the Pout Glaze out on MUA's website for only £3.50!

Collection Speedy Highlighter in Peachy Sheen Review!

27 April 2016

Hello!

Over the past couple of months I've really gotten into contouring and highlighting and instead of it being a "special occasion" look, I'm now slowly but gradually bringing it in to my everyday look. The reason I say slowly is because it normally adds a good 5-10 minutes onto my morning routine and I unfortunately can't take those extra 10 minutes from my lie in. Just not happening.

Back in March's "Get Glowing" Glossybox though, one of the products that caught my eye was the Collection Speedy Hightlighter. Mainly because of the Speedy part! The aim of this product is for you to be able to apply to your face and quickly blend in so you can get on with your day. Obviously that sounds perfect for me so I was desperate to try it out!

Excuse the stupid face, not sure what I was thinking but it was the best picture to show off the highlighter.

Although it's not a very "in your face" difference, I love it! I much prefer subtle highlighters and ones that are shimmery but not to the point where it looks like a glitter bomb has gone off on your face. Not a good look!

The "speedy" part is quite dead on but I think it might have something to do with the fact that it's quite subtle so not much blending is needed. However saying that it does layer up nicely.

All in all it's a great product and for only £2.99 you can't moan at all. It makes getting ready in the morning so much easier and quicker and I even manage to keep those 10 minutes extra in bed. Win all the way around!

NYC City Duet 2 in 1 Lip Colour | 430 The Rock A Fellas Review

25 April 2016

Hello!

A couple of weeks ago I visited the Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet shopping centre and the shop that I spent more time and money in was the Beauty Outlet store. I just couldn't help myself! You know the phrase a kid in a candy shop? Well it's nothing like a beauty blogger in a beauty outlet shop!

It wasn't as successful as my previous visits to the shop but I did manage to pick up this gorgeous 2 in 1 lipstick from NYC! I've never really brought much from this brand so I was a little unsure on what to expect but since the colour was so cute, I just had to give it a try!

Ignore my obvious fail at applying lipstick, not sure what I was doing that day! ANYWAYYYY as you can see it's a very gorgeous subtle rosy pink shade. Quite unexpected for me as I thought it would be a lot brighter from looking at it but I have to say I do quite prefer it.

Being a "cheaper" brand, the formula for the lipstick actually turned out being really moisturising and long lasting and I felt like I didn't need a top up for a good couple of hours.

There were a few other shades in this range and for £2.99, I'm really gutted that I didn't pick them all up! I will however make a mental note to stock up next time I'm there!

Makeup Revolution's The One Blush Stick in Malibu Review

22 April 2016

Hello!

A couple of months ago now I had a cheeky Makeup Revolution order and some of you might have even read some of my reviews but there's one product that I brought that I've been putting off using. When I first brought it, I was super excited to use it but when it finally come and I could see it with my own eyes, I was a little hesitant.

The product I'm talking about is Makeup Revolution's The One Blush Stick in the shade Malibu. It was in the sale when I brought it which is great in itself but I brought it mainly to add to my contouring collection. When it arrived though it looked far too dark and I thought there was no way that it would work for my face.

As you can see above from the pictures, I do stand corrected. Although Malibu is darker than any of my other bronzers, it still works really well for my face and it can easily be blended in. I love the way it looks and the slight shimmer that it adds to my face. I can definitely see myself getting a lot of use in the upcoming Spring/Summer months!

Unfortunately it's no longer on offer and it's back up it's full price of £5 but since I had such a great result with it, I would happily pay that again! The One Stick also comes in a handful of different shades and you even get the choice of shimmer or matte in those shades. How good is that?

Naobay Protective Hair Mask Volume Conditioner Review

20 April 2016

Hello!

The best thing about Glossybox is being sent products that you yourself would never in a million years out and buy. It's honestly the reason that I've stayed subscribed for so long and I class it as a very educating outgoing expence.

One of the brands that I had never heard of before and happen to be quite regular now to Glossybox is Noabay. The first time it was in the form of a toner which I just completely fell in love with. The newest instalment was the Protective Hair Mask Volume Conditioner which I was super excited about trying!

I've been using this conditioner with my usual shampoo for about a week now and I have to admit that I haven't really noticed much difference. I will say that I've had to use less leave-in sprays and serums but in regards to it being a "volume" conditioner, I didn't see any change.

I love the idea of Naobay with their organic and natural ingredients but over £10 a bottle I would have expected a bit more but unfortunately no such luck for me. If you didn't sign up to Glossybox, you can check the conditioner out here on the Naobay website.
