Another week, another lipstick to review! You'd think I'd have finally got enough and would stop buying but where is the fun in that?!
A couple of weeks ago I went shopping up Cheshire Oaks and I've been gradually getting through all of my purchases. The last product I did buy was the Revlon ColorStay lipstick in the shade Front Row.
I wasn't too sure on what to expect but I remember hearing a lot of good things about the lipstick when it first came out so I was excited to give it ago. Unfortunately they didn't have many shades in stock at the time so I was quite limited to my choice but in the end I went with the ultra summery shade "Front Row"!
First of all can I just say how gorgeous this colour is! At first look at the lipstick, I thought it would be far too light and "Barbie"ish but when applied it's a much subtle natural looking pink which has a gorgeous pigmented shine to it.
Although I really enjoyed the shade, I'm not big fan of the formula. Instead of it being glossy and drying into a nice matte "suede" shade like most other "lip lacquer" products I've tried in the past, when applied it turns into very sticky "mess". Not a great flattering word I know but it's the only word that I can describe the way it feels when it's on my lips! It made it very difficult to talk as my lips were often stuck together.
The colour itself is gorgeous and I'm really disappointed that the formula has put me off wearing it. If you fancy giving this lipstick a go for yourself and think that I'm just being a drama queen (which I probably am!) then you can check it out here for £8.99!
